Post Your Great Bear moments of the past

Post#1 » by emperorjones » Tue May 1, 2012 7:06 pm

Now that the "off season" has arrived, I figured I 'd try to start a thread that we could all contribute to that could last a while (I hope  )

So describe your Bear moment or if it was a play and you have video, post it.

I'll start off with what I consider the most vicious Bear hit I can remember. Wilbur Marshall's hit on Detroit Lion QB Joe Ferguson in Dec 1985 . I was watching this live with my friends and started yelling - I THINK HE KILLED HIM! I THINK HE KILLED HIM. I'd describe it, but its better to just watch the video at the 1:13 mark.....

Good idea, emperor. Why don't I remember that hit? That's a good one.

Do press conferences count as a favorite "Bear moment"?

I miss the emotional Ditka press conferences where he clearly needed a cooling down period after games but didn't take it and the media would just swarm around for the gold Mike would inevitably unleash.

One of my favorites is at the 1:00 mark where Ditka does his famous "Ditketh" and "here's your IQ, buddy" to some yapping drunk in the background. Classic. You *probably* won't see Lovie doing this.

Awesome clips!

Dika vs Lovie. How far we've dropped in press conference quotes.

And yes, I was jumping up & down all over again celebrating Mike Brown!!!

At about the 4:40 mark, you will see what I loved about him & why I believe he's the best RB EVER.

Considering it's a shoe and not a 13-year-old girl spinning on his fingers I think we are safe.

The rest of the game sucked, but this will last a long time.
