does Cutler have some muscle definition in those arms?
Brandon. I'm not sure about those black shoes.
And I think I need some extra time to get used to these unis.

I meant I thought I saw some muscle definition. So give me credit.

I can't tell you why those unis don't look right at the moment. On the bright side, I usually love things more ultimately if I hate them first.

Pro Bowl receiver Brandon Marshall didn’t disappoint in his first OTA with the Bears, catching several passes from quarterback Jay Cutler against the No. 1 defense.

“It was a little give and take today,” said Marshall, who was acquired March 13 in a trade with the Miami Dolphins. “It was good to see the defense make some plays and we also made some plays. We’re excited about where we’re at right now, but we have a lot of work to get done before the opener.

“I’m not where I want to be and I’m sure as a team we have a lot of room to grow and to get better. It feels good, but at the same time we’ve got to keep our head down, foot on the pedal and just continue to grind.”

Marshall and Pro Bowl cornerback Charles Tillman provided the most entertaining match-up of the day.

“It’s fun because he’s a smart DB,” Marshall said. “He’s really good. He’s really talented. He keeps me on my toes. It’s like a chess match out there. The only thing I don’t like about him is he’s in such good shape that he talks all the way through practice and I’m so winded I can’t respond to him half the time.”

Personally, I LOVE the new uniforms. They look much more modern, crisp, clean, and intimidating.

They should do a Goodfellas-style/cliche movie poster picture with Cutler in the middle and Marshall/Alshon/Bennett/Hester on either side of him. I would buy that poster.

Alshon at the rookie premier looking skinny as hell in his Bears gear. His head is in the right place. RG3 felt comfortable enough about Alshon's current condition to clown Alshon on his gut in college that is now gone. And I must say the Nike Bears Jersey looks great on AJ.

^^^^this offseason defines surreal. My Bears want to play offense? PASSING offense? And they have actually aquired the kind of player to back that idea up. I also felt like this after Angelo traded for Cutler, but he quickly wasted that effort with no follow up effort. I was resigned to more of the same dysfunction from a new GM that the tired ole McCaskeys have hired, but Phil freaking Emery does not play. I would be surprised if he doesn't stay at this even if his first effort does not quite work out. Nice to finally see some real exiting elite offensively skilled players in a Bears uniform. Passing offense players. And GM who can see the obvious. Build around a good QB.

I don't anymore feel like the fan of the last team that refuses to join the modern world.

This is so key. Angelo had ample time to surround Cutler with offensive talent, yet look where we finished at the end of his rein: a shoddy, questionable o-line, a shoddy, questionable, and small WR corps (not counting 6' 3" Droptamus Prime, aka Roy "Superstar" Williams). I mean, seriously. We were excited about Roy Williams. That was the best big target Angelo could come up with.

Emery is so much more clear-headed, decisive, and aware of what this team needs. He doesn't mess around, and gets right down to the important stuff. Angelo seems like he was trying to outsmart the team/fans by doing things his way, a more complicated way. That's actually the downfall of a lot of GMs.

Such a breath of fresh air. And yeah, surreal.

NFL.com - Brandon Marshall says he has been relying on his natural abilities during his NFL career.

"To be honest, (when I arrived in Miami) I was like, 'You know, I need some coaching. Right now, I'm coming off my natural ability.' ... I haven't had a good coach, as far as that receiving position, since I've been in the NFL," the Bears wide receiver said.

"As far as technique and someone who understands the game, the last time I had a good receiving coach was DJ McCarthy in college."

no not at all. Its a dig on every coach he's had his entire NFL career. Whether or not its true (which I have no idea, its kind of hard to believe), its needless drama and just stirs up bad reactions. I thought he was about good karma these days. Now he's ripping all his past coaches..I can't imagine the upside of this kind of talk.

But he's a pro bowl wide receiver. He wouldn't be good if he didn't run his mouth too much. Thats how we know he can play. :tooth Where have you gone Jerry Rice?

Sure - I got that he was basically ripping on his other NFL coaches but I was more concerned with his current ones. Those are the only ones I *really* care about. Agreed the less the we hear from Marshall, the better.

Not sure if anyone read the link on the Trib detailing his daily life but it was just all sorts of depressing. He's surrounded by money grubbing leeches who will keep quiet as long as the money keeps flowing in. Mo money mo problems indeed.
