Jacksonville Jaguars rookie wide receiver Justin Blackmon reportedly was arrested on a charge of alleged aggravated DUI on Sunday morning in Stillwater, Okla.

Blackmon was booked into Payne County (Okla.) Jail at 10 a.m. Sunday, according to the Tulsa World.

Stillwater police spokesman Capt. Randy Dickerson told NFL.com that Blackmon was pulled over shortly after 3 a.m. local time. Blackmon took a breathalyzer test, and his blood-alcohol level was .24, which is three times the state's legal limit.

According to Oklahoma law, a DUI charge becomes "aggravated" when the driver has a blood-alcohol level of .15 or higher.

The Jaguars moved up to the fifth overall pick in the NFL Draft two months ago to take the former Oklahoma State wideout.

It marked the second time in two years Blackmon has been charged with DUI, according to the World. He was driving to a Dallas Cowboys game when he was charged in Texas and received a one-game suspension from Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy.

so, we have guys like Blackmon and Floyd, who regularly it seems drink and drive and get arrested for it. And Floyd has been rumored to be a little out of shape and heavy in Cardinals camp and OTAs. Alshon Jeffrey with his good off the field record and coming into camp in great shape is looking comparatively [Larry David]prettyyy prettyyy pretty good out of the gate[/Larry David]

My half-hope, half-prediction of Jeffery becoming the best WR out of this draft looks closer and closer to reality as the days pass by...

Blackmon at pick #5 or Jeffery at pick #45? Pretty easy decision at this point, huh?

The conseqences await Blackmon now. He hasn't signed his contract yet, and new Jaguars coach Mike Mularkey said Blackmon was "lost" at times during recent organized team activities.

Say hello again to Mr Goodell. This time it won't be a hug.

WOW. Now THAT is unbelievable. If I was drafted, I would work my ass off and wrap myself in a bear attack suit when not on the field.

So far, our new GM is looking kinda smart. Maybe we end up with the top rated receiver, after all.

^^ That's looking likely. Emery was so insistent that Jeffrey had the best hands in the draft. He looks like he's in great shape too.

I'd be sooo pissed if I was a Jaguars fan.

^^^^^^Well, he's doing the half-hearted apology tour now:

During a news conference on Wednesday, Justin Blackmon apologized for his "poor judgment," vowed to learn and grow from his latest alcohol-related arrest and insisted he doesn't have a drinking problem.

He also swore off alcohol for now.

"People are going to think what they are going to think," Blackmon said. "Words are words. It's my actions that are going to have to show."

Yet another 1st rd rookie WR struggling:

- 49ers rookie wide receiver A.J. Jenkins could find himself fifth on the team's depth chart entering training camp.

"He didn't play with the first- or second-team offense on Tuesday, and he didn't catch a pass in scrimmages on Wednesday," the Press Democrat wrote on Saturday.

"He had trouble staying on his feet all three days, which was odd considering it was a non-contact minicamp."

San Francisco drafted Jenkins with the 30th overall pick

 that's all bad. I didn't understand that pick at all. They should've taken Hill if they wanted a speedy receiver because Hill has better physical abilities.

-Impressions from Arizona Cardinals' organized team activities

--WR Michael Floyd looks like he would be more effective at a little lighter weight. It's not unusual for rookies to be a bit heavy in their first camp, and Floyd is far from overweight. But my guess is that strength and conditioning coach John Lott would like Floyd to be a bit lighter than he is now. He's listed at 220 pounds. Floyd didn't look quick going through agility drills, but that's not his forte, either. It's getting downfield and using his size and strength against smaller defenders.

^^^in other words, kid basically came in out of shape, or did not hit his target weight.

http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcwest/tag/_/n ... hael-floyd

-- Rookie impressions: WR Michael Floyd doesn't look like a quick, change of direction guy. But if he can get open on medium to deep routes and use his size and strength to make big plays, the Cardinals will be happy.
