Preseason Week 2: Redskins @ Bears

We escaped week one without major injury. RG3 arrives in week 2. Can our rookie DE chase him down? Looking forward to seeing Cutler to Marshall or Cutler to Jeffrey more?

After a poor showing from the Bears in the 31-3 loss to the Broncos, the Bears are hoping for something better this Saturday. And it looks like they may get it, as the defense really showed up to practice on Sunday.

Id like to see some progress in the Bears getting their offense blocked. There were some bubble first teamers (oline)playing late vs the Broncos and the qb was getting sacked.

Webb and Spencer were actually angering me with how bad they were. I'm curious as to whether or not Williams and Rachal will be seeing a lot of time next to each other in this game at LT and LG. I highly doubt Webb will hold up against Orakpo. Spencer just isn't strong enough at the point of attack.

“The problem with the second preseason game is how much are 98 [Brian Orakpo] and 91 [Ryan Kerrigan] going to play? We certainly want to make sure both guys, whether it is a series or two series, get some action against 98 and 91. That is very important for us in our evaluation process.”

Sounds like one of them may be starting at RT. Not a bad idea since both Orakpo and Kerrigan are elite pass rushers.

There is no way Carimi is worse than Webb. I say if Gabe is healthy he should go LT and put Webb back at RT and be done with it. Now while there's still time for the line to get used to it. At least until the Bears find a legit LT. I would also love to see Alshon get some burn as a starter.

First drive looked very good. Cutler to Marshall and Jeffrey down the field was amazing.
