One of the most impressive games I've seen from this team.

Good SOLID win by the Bears.

The DBs, Briggs, Melton, Cutler, Marshall, O-Line, & Kellen Davis all looked good.

Also had a rare Devin Hester touchdown tonight as well. A couple days after he publicly stated his frustration. Funny how things work out.

#2 in total defense
#2 in sacks
#1 in takeaways
So called ESPN "experts" will have a hard time getting our man zone out of their mouths.

As I said before the game... you can have your #1 in overall defense rank yardage wise, I'll take this Bears D any day.

I am so impressed with our team right now. They are surpassing my expectations for them so early in the season.

If the coaching staff has actually figured out our O-Line woes this early & we stay relatively healthy, this will be a magical season.

What's it matter? It showed our offense things that we need to work on. We've gotten better and our defense is one of the best I've ever seen. One of these games we're going to see our Special Teams dominate too. That's a nice thing to have lurking in the background.

I realize Peppers has a bad foot, but he isn't as impactful this year. Hopefully he's not in decline. I mean he is in downside, but you don't want him to fall off faster than slow and steady. Imagine if he and Urlacher were their old selves. That aside, The whole team looked good, the O-Line shockingly so, but the D gave up too many yards imo. And the Cowboys could have put up more points but too many key drops by receivers. Couple bad throws too. What I'm trying to say is that I'm not a fan of this dang pass and tackle, turnover dependent Tampa 2. The elite team won't make so many mistakes and sooner or later the Bears will run into a smart QB who who will be patient enough to avoid TOs in the postseason to cut and slice. I don't see it ultimately as a great defense to use in the playoffs. BTW, in general, for some reason, Bears safeties are usually too late for my taste over the top when teams do try to go over the top (aside from the interception). Other than that kind of bitching by me...good job Bears.

fun fact: Julio Jones has 4 (only 4?) more catches than Alshon this year, but the same yardage per catch 13.7

I think Jay Cutler was feeling you. He actually was calling Tice a Stupid MFer while in the huddle. I'm not sure if Jay ever walked away from Martz on a sideline either. Then again Martz probably was smart enough to leave Jay alone when Jay has black smoke pumping out of his ears.

Just for the sake of discussion, I wonder if Cutler is pushing for Jeremy Bates to take over play-calling duties :dontknow: .

Completely different topic, but watching ESPN's postgame & highlight shows, you would think that the Bears didn't even play last night with the way ESPN devoted 95% of their analysis to the Dallas Cowboys. The excuses ESPN continues to make for Tony Romo are completely ridiculous. Just imagine if Cutler would have had Romo's stat-line from last night. They would have destroyed Cutler on ESPN. Instead of focusing on the many laughing/happy moments that Cutler showed during the game, they made sure to point out the sideline situation with Tice instead.

First of all, great game, defense was awesome and offense really came together after the first quarter.

I'm really tired of the thrashing Cutler gets from the national media and from fans. Not every QB has to be Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady. At least Cutler is honest. The only thing I don't like is when he doesn't own up to his own mistakes; other than that I am a big fan. Frankly I find it kind of refreshing.

I hope so. Tice is a terrible play caller
