If we lose this game, we should be ashamed.

Panthers are falling apart. And their defense is horrendous. I don't know any of their defensive stats, and IDC where they're ranked on defense. They suck. Even Beason can't help them. We will dominate them.

Not happening.

The Panthers D is in shambles (Beason is out for the year), expect the offense to have a nice game unless Cutler is hurt more than we think.

If the predictions would come true on every one of these game threads, we'd be undefeated every season.

Makes me think of Steve Rosenbloom's predictions in the Tribune this year.

I think the offense will come down to how "freely" Jay is able to throw the ball with his sore ribs. I would like to see them run more with their dual threat backfield but we'll see what they decide to do. There's no reason we can't win this game decisively.

TBH Jake, Heir has been pretty close with his predicted scores this season. I have been pretty surprised every week :o . Here's one example below from the Bears/Jaguars game thread:

The final score ended up being 41-3 after a late Bears TD.

Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler participated fully in practice Friday and is listed as probable for Sunday's home game against Carolina Panthers despite sore ribs.

Panthers are better with Luke K at middle linebacker and Beason has lost a step.

That said, this won't be the same Panthers O, they are going to change it up and try to grind games out more. Bears will win this game so long as they ride Forte and pick on Marshall's cover.

I don't doubt that he's close occasionally, but my point is that with these predictions its like we have no holes and every other team is worse than us. The predictions just don't seem fair. (Although I do agree this time) for example, people were predicting we'd completely destroy the lions, and it ended up being a 13-7 score, a far cry from the predictions.

Cam had one of his best games against us. If the offense can get going early it should be a a fairly easy win, but if its close throughout the game Cam could get some confidence and make it a good game. This defense is perfect for Cam to gain momentum. We need to knock him down early to make him start thinking and get an early turnover out of him.

Bears have done pretty well against scrambling QBs using their Cover 2, so I'm thinking we'll see a slaughter this week.

I predicted a 27-13 win against the Lions, and if Cutler hadn't gotten hurt it probably would been near that.
We're not playing good teams right now, so everybody is predicting big wins by us.

When we play the Texans and the 49ers it will get a lot tougher. And Tennessee might play us really well if they continue to progress. But those are down the line. Right now we focus on the Panthers, and with that terrible defense we will crush them.

I think the Panthers are better than their record suggests. I'd be very impressed if we blew them out this week. Key is to stop their running game and to establish ours.

I'm hoping for a good win, but I don't want Ron Rivera to get embarrased.
