Olindo Mare certainly is earning his money after that game.

Average game all around, pretty much. Offense made some key plays and was.. okay overall but they couldn't capitalize on turnovers.

Defense let up some big plays but came through with big plays as well, and the turnovers.

Go Packers.

We're probably 1 and done if we make the playoffs, but I still want them to make it. Also, who knows, weren't the Giants 9-7 both years they won the superbowl?

Anything is possible... but that win didn't exactly make anyone feel good about a miracle playoff run even if the Packers get us in.

We are not dead but we stink as if we've been dead for a month

Im fifty-fifty about getting into the playoffs or not.

Would Urlacher be back for the playoffs?

The Lions did everything they could to allow us to win that game, including 4 turnovers and weirdly blowing their timeouts prior to the 2 minute warning. Thanks Detroit.

If we make the playoffs its likely a rematch with SF. So not much to look forward to. But I still rather make it. You never know.

Yeah, we will likely play SF, and hopefully Kaepernick doesn't play as well as last time. If our defense plays as well against SF as we did against the Lions, we have a chance. But I'm getting ahead of myself: the Vikings still have to lose.

???

when were they supposed to use the timeouts?

if the bears end up missing the playoffs they will likely do so having the 6th best point differential in the entire league

I really do think they used them early to end the game. They could've waited until the 2 min warning to use them, and not let us just run the clock out, but rather trust their D. I don't think I've ever seen the "timeout game" played that early.

I don't see how people can call themselves fans of a team and be on the fence on weather or not they want their team to make the playoffs.

Anything can happen. A 1% chance at a superbowl is 10x better than drafting a couple slots higher.

Anyway, congrats to Marshall on his 1500 yard season, even though he's had a sub-par couple of weeks.

Forte also played well today and nabbed himself his 3rd 1000 yard season. I really think he could be a consistent 1300-1500 yard guy if they gave him anything close to workhorse carries and if he could stay healthy.

they had to have time left to go down and kick a field goal. anyway, it really doesn't matter when you use them, but WHEN you use them you can't allow another first down. they were a play away from getting it back w/ 2 minutes left. had they not used the timeouts it would have been the same situation w/ like under a minute left

This.

If we get into the Playoffs, we're one of only 6 teams out of 16 teams in the NFC that have a chance at winning the Super-Bowl. That means that 10 teams out of 16 NFC teams are worse than us.

That being said, it's also possible that the NFC East champion will be in the playoffs with a 9-7 record (if the Redskins lose) with us out of the playoffs with a 10-6 record (if GB loses). Do you think the fans of the Cowboys, Giants, or Redskins will be pissed at their team for making the playoffs?

BTW, we kept Megatron from reaching 2000 yards receiving.

I think as a fan you can legit believe that this franchise has ultimately gone as far as it could with Lovie at the helm, and if the Bears in the playoffs = extension for Lovie, the playoffs aren't worth it.

I rooted for the Bears today, and if they make the playoffs I'll continue rooting, but that anything can happen stuff is speaking with your heart and not your head. This team has proven time and again that it can't beat the teams they'd need to beat to go anywhere in the playoffs.

So now that we didn't make the playoffs, id bet Tice is gone, and Lovie might be too, although I wish he wouldn't be.

Unfortunate.

10-6 gets you into the playoffs 85% of the time. We'll have a better record than the NFC East winner.

Meh. We probably weren't going anywhere anyways. If anything I hate that the NFL season is so short, no Bears football for what, 7 months?

Guess I'll turn my attention towards the Bulls. Rose coming back anytime soon?

Also, we should have beaten the Seahawks. Dammit.

It's hard watching a game and relying on another team to help you get into the playoffs. This is the Bears fault, didn't get it done when they were suppose to.

This hurts.

I rather the Bears went 5-11 than start 7-1 and not make it.
