Our defense is good, but it is vastly overrated by some fans here, and Marinelli is not one of the reasons why our defense is good in the first place. I think he should go, and everyone else who was a Lovie guy. We need to clean house 100%. And I expect we will.

You are saying our defense is consistently top 5 in spite of our coordinator? Are you serious?

I doubt they fire Lovie they will just make him a lame duck coach next year and then blow it up after next season if they have too . We won ten games the question is do we have think the issues we had this year can be fixed over the next 8 months ?

Lovie's had 9 years, that's a great length of time in any sport.

Oh and FYI, Lovie is the real defensive coordinator of this team, always has been in his tenure. Fire him, fire Marinelli, and fire Tice. See ya next year.

I predict that they all stay for one more shot next season, including Tice. Keep in mind that it's Lovie's final year of his contract.

They will point to the 10-6 record that was one game behind the division winning Packers & will possibly be a better record than the NFC East champion.

They will also point to the lack of an O-Line as proof that Jerry Angelo is at fault.

I'm not saying that I agree with those excuses, but I believe that those excuses will save Lovie & his entire staff.

EDIT TO ADD: I saw this post below after I posted, which sums up my feelings to a tee.

When do we look at getting rid of Cutler? I'm sick of him too.

People who say get rid of Cutler must not have watched Bears football for the past 20 years.

I know outside of 1995, all our QBs have sucked.

I have overreacted.

Get Cutler a line.

I'm not a full-throat supporter/critic of Lovie & I believe it's probably time for him to move on, but I feel the outcome will be the way I described above.

The poster below sees it, as well:

This is the NFL. In the NBA, maybe a team would stick out one more year because of the contract. But the NFL is different. I give the possibility of him coming back 0%. It's not gonna happen. And no I am not one of those Lovie haters who have been calling for his throat for the past 4 years. I supported him up until the collapse this season. They should have made the playoffs, and they didn't beat good teams when they were fully healthy either. He's done.

Its amazing how Cutler needs a line and receivers but none of our other qbs did . Weve ran out of town Qbs who have played better than Cutler with less because we wanted something more sexy .

At this point what hes bringing is not irreplaceable but hes under contract and will be looking for a new deal after next year we might as well see if he can raise his play next year to get that contract and hopefully a SB.
