Well he was passed over for the job and would have had to work under the guy who beat him out. With little assurance of anything beyond the next year.

Its not unreasonable he asked out . The Bears could have said no, but they let him go.

I really hate to see this guy leave.

Definitely not a good thing he is gone. Probably the best ST coach in the league.

I actually met him once. I thought I was a big guy (6'5" about 235). I felt like he was a giant standing next to him.

I thought he was our best coach - sorry to see him go. Thanks Dave for the good special teams over the years!!!
