Round 1 extension to 2/28

Post#1 » by emperorjones » Sun Feb 17, 2013 5:07 am

Let's get this game started. I pushed the start back 2 weeks from last year, but thought a good time to get round 1 cuts in would be after the NFL combine.

Check the announcement section to see which Bears players are free agents. Remember if you are resigning one of our own FAs, you should take their value off the "star" rating on Walter Football and the cost I've listed for "star" value.

One change from last year. Please do not post your cuts or player resignings. Private message me and when they are all in I will make one post.

I am adding a couple days in order to get a couple stragglers, hagglers and travelers into the game. If you submitted your Round 1 and would like to edit, feel free.

When will the submissions be posted?
Is it possible to talk about unofficial game results in this thread?

Once I think we have all our GM submissions in, I'll go through and check the cap numbers and then post. So I'd say this weekend. You can talk about the game in this thread yes.

Since I have this stuff written down I figured I could do some people a solid and post the cap numbers for bears free agents:

Nick Roach- 2,361,250
Brian Urlacher- 5,000,000
Izzy- 2,746,000
Melton- 6,229,500
Nate Collins- 1,245,900
Amobi Okoye- 1,245,900
Dj Moore- 1,600,200
Kelvin Hayden- 1,600,200
Jason Campbell- 2,196,300
Lance Louis- 1,449,000
Geno Hayes- 1,418,250
Chris Spencer- 1,449,000
Johnathan Scott- 1,449,000
Zach Bowman - 1,000,000
Kahli Bell-
Josh McCown-
Chilo Richal-
Olindo Mare-
Troy Nolan- 1,000,000

The Bears have 14 million in cap room before cuts and extensions. For the 4 blannk salaries I didn't fill them cuz I didn't look them up but for reference they are likely 1 star players which would designate their salary at 1,000,000 per.

Thanks for that bearadonisdna. Very helpful

Note to everyone: you don't need to put in unrestricted free agent signings yet. That is round 2. That wont start for a bit as we need to find out who gets the franchise tag placed on them
