I was aware of Faulk's injury history, and figured he's worth a flyer in the 4th round. Even if he becomes a starting guard, he'd be a good pick. The best option would be for Long or Faulk to move Webb to right tackle (where he may be more suited).
As for the first round, I am more of the opinion that getting Ansah would be good - if only to have an option should the Bears be unable to restructure Peppers' contract. Tavon Austin is too exciting to pass up. I've seen him play - he's Devin Hester with refined skills on offense.
The top seven slots on the 2013 D-Line would likely break down this way:
DE: Peppers, Wooton (starters); Ansah, McClellin
DT: Idjonie, Melton (starters); Okoye
Figure Toeaina and Ozougwu round out the D-line, with Ansah replacing Peppers in 2014 if Da Bears need cap room.
If they can re-structure the deal or extend Peppers with a Tom Brady-style extension, the Bears have a LOT of options. Rotating Peppers, Wooton, and Ansah as the three-down ends, McClellin as the third-down rusher, and a rotation of Idjonie, Wooton, and Okoye at defensive tackle should make for a VERY good D-Line.
