Not good. Fortunately for us, Isaiah Frey has been impressing the coaches & has been speeding up the depth chart:
Second-year cornerback Isaiah Frey is still listed on the third team, but he’s supplanted himself as the No. 2 nickel back and appears likely to make the team. After getting selected in the sixth round of the 2012 NFL Draft, Frey spent last season on the practice squad and has made pretty significant strides going into this second season.
“It seems like the ball is kind of a magnet towards me right now,” Frey said Monday. “I’ve just got to keep making the plays.”
With Kelvin Hayden nursing a hamstring injury right now, Frey is taking the No. 1 nickel back reps and performing well.

Wow. Big hit.
That was already our position of least depth. Damn it Lovie, you put DJ Moore in the doghouse. WHY?!?

Heh, I remember the year every time somebody got hurt they were out for the year. Was that year(s)?
The Bears running around the NFL with a net waiting for CBs to get cut. Not a good way to be. Just so we know what next years #1 pick will be.

Kind of sucks, but it is fortunate Frey is playing well. This will give the coaching staff the time to get a better look at Hurst, who I actually liked coming out of college.
I guess we can cross Hayden off the list of players to re-sign. And I have a feeling Jonathan Scott will soon go down a similar road.
