Did the Bears trade Peppers in the offseason and somehow I missed it?

Yeah, that was bad. Hope he picks it up. Our D-Line needs to play well this year, and there's no reason it shouldn't with the talent/players that it has.

Yeah, it was crazy. I mean at one point I was seriously trying to just find him anywhere near the ball and couldn't even put eyes on him lol. Gonna need him to step up because against a smarter team the defense, and the Bears would have been in huge trouble.

What's worse, it wasn't just Peppers. The entire line was awful, both in passing and rushing situations.

Guess skipping the preseason has a downside.

Franchising Melton was the right move, but please, Phil Emery, do not give him a long term contract. Friend's of mine knew him when he went to Texas, bad ju-ju, trust me, bad things. He is a guy i see taking short cuts now that he's rich. Heard he wasn't happy getting drafted by the Bears also, hates the cold.

Both offensive lines played great... but Peppers completely disappeared. Didn't even get double teamed a lot from what I saw.

Any-who i think this could be a long year for him (in the PR dept.) because Peppers is gonna face more criticism this year than any Bear year before. People wil be looking to justify his almost expected release this offseason to avoid a 18 m cap hit. Kinda a sucky situation.
