I think we should trade for him. (for the right price of course) I doubt the gets more than a 5th round pick for him. We'd have an untackleable receiving corp. But most importantly we'd keep the Lions trading for him.

I'm fine with our receivers right now, unless we can find a speedster who is a deep threat. That's something we don't have right now. We've got the big guys in Alshon and Marshall, and we've got the slot receiver in Bennett. This team is in more need of help on the defensive line and in the secondary - or even at backup QB.

We need a burner on the outside that can take the top off defenses. Think about what the Saints do with basically just Meachem and Stills running go routes to free things up underneath for Colston and Graham. If we had someone like that, we could basically dump Earl Bennett and rotate Jeffery/Marshall in the slot with Bennett working the seam. Marquess Wilson might be that guy though, just need some experience.

We should have signed Meachem......but my main point about britt is that if the Lions would get him (which I think they will due to Nate Burleson's injury) that offense will be unstoppable espcially with a healthy Bush and if Burleson comes back at the end of the season. Their defense is much improved while ours already has shown some weaknesses in pass defense. Boldin got traded for a 6th rounder twice and Holmes in his prime got traded for a 4th and 6th (I think). Britt is coming of two knee surgeries and basically said he won't resign with the Titans after this season. A 5th is the highest I'd give up for him. There's basically no risk in trading for him since we have two 6th and we keep a rival from getting better. Plus with his head on right he'd be our second best receiver.

It's entirely possible that the knee injuries have sapped Britt's explosiveness. If that's the case, even a later round pick is an overpay. Now if the Lions get Josh Gordon: that's something to be truly worried about.

Yea I think Gordon is far better at this point. I hope none of NFC North rivals trade for him.

The Lions don't scare me. If the Bears lose, it will be due to their own mistakes. The Lions brain trust makes them easy to beat, especially when the stakes are high.
