Week 16: Bears at Eagles, Sunday 7:30pm CST

Two great offenses. Two, uh, defenses.
Bears get Briggs back. Eagles get Boykins back.
Shady McCoy looking like one scary running back these days. Alshon and Brandon looking DAMN fearsome these days.
Winner may ultimately get the three seed... loser will be fighting to even get into the playoffs.
Bears and Eagles... will fight like hell to win the game, but at the end of the day, everyone likes fishing.

Glad Briggs is going to be back. Don't forget our defense didn't cross the line into the "historically bad" level until Briggs went out.
117.3 rushing yards allowed when he's played (including the Redskins game where he missed most of the second half and we allowed 209 rushing yards), 187.6 rushing yards allowed since he's been out.
The defense doesn't have to be great. It just can't be awful.

Great points all around. I'd add we haven't been this healthy at DT for most of the season as well. With Paea hopefully near 100% and Ratliff rounding into shape and playing well we have Wooten at DE on run downs where he belongs instead of McClellin. Hopefully that adds another layer of fix to it in addition to Briggs coming back.

Our defensive front is really going to have to step up. Gotta get pressure on Foles and can't let McCoy run wild.

THE BEARS MUST DESTROY THE PHILADELPHIA SHEAGLES BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY! Their fan base is so um...illogical.

Agreed very much to this. If our team can play close to an average D or middle of the pack of the league - The offense is good enough to net three things:
1) CONTROL the Time of Possession, even on some 70 to 80 yard drives.
2) Passing on those suspect Corners and Safeties of the Eagles.
3) Forte freeing up to play the short passing game - that can and will GASH the Eagles Secondary.

Get an early lead and force the Eagles to abandon the run. Also, if Briggs is on a snap count it will be a challenge swapping him in and out the way the Eagles get to the line of scrimmage so fast. Our offense winning the time of possession will be key.

With the Cowboys winning today, the Eagles have nothing to play for tonight. Their division will be decided next week when they face the Cowboys.

Was just wondering about that. This game is meaningless for the Eagles, wonder if they rest people.

Also, if Lions lose and Packers win, this game is meaningless for us as well.

Technically they aren't eliminated from getting a bye so they might just play for that.

This is what I've always thought. Why would they not care when they could still be fighting for a 1st round bye?
And even if it becomes meaningless for the Bears as well, I would still hope they play hard enough to win to keep momentum on their side.

At second glance... they are out of the running for a bye. So this game is meaningless for the Eagles.

Packers and Lions both lost. Da Bears can clinch the division with a win tonight.
