Well, we all know that Aaron Donald is the next great thing at DT. Every mock draft has him as a mid first rounder. Funny thing is that NFL.com did not update his pre-combine draft page. So here is a look of what the scouts thought of him after the season but BEFORE the hype...."DRAFT PROJECTION Rounds 4-5"

I don't know that. That is a very presumptuous statement in the NFL draft. And If he's good, he'll probably have have a short career after getting beaten to pieces in the trenches like most little guys in the NFL. This game favors large people when you figure on having careers that last more than a couple bright years (if the bright years show up). It just does. I'm totally against this pick at this point in the first. Mid first round is not the place to draft smallish guys at their positions, especially on the inside. You just end up lowering your odds of success. IMO, look for a big man that can play and weather the beatings at the point of attack in the mid first round, or trasde the eff down if you are left looking at a small defensive tackle.

That should have been written in green.
meaning, if you look at ALL the draft analysis, you might as well put him in the pro-bowl. But just a few months ago, some of the same analysts had him as a 4-5 round draft pic. Then if the guy produces as a 4-5 round pick, they'll quickly label him a bust.

http://chi.scout.com/2/1395781.htmlIn this draft chat, the NFL scout said Aaron Donald was the number one overall player on his board. Not the number one DT... number one overall.
