I thought this would be the guy for most of the off-season. I think they had McCown in mind. He doesn't have all the physical traits but has the mental make up just like Josh.

Hoping he is our first Aaron Brooks/Matt Hasselbeck/Mark Brunell

So, if it's a choice at QB between Fales and Jordan Lynch... which one goes on the roster?
I'd say Lynch.

Lynch won't be a QB. Sounds like RB.

What makes you say that? I threw the ball more than him last year.

My guess is that unless Fales is REALLY impressive in camp, he'll be a practice squad guy. The only thing going for Fales is that as much as Palmer is a 'vet', he hasn't had much time on the field. Lynch can make the roster as a backup RB/Special teamer and he also gives you a 3rd string QB.

I'm thinking they will try Lynch out at FB.

Does that quote by Trestman intrigue anyone else as it does me? The whole idea that Mad Scientist Marc has 10 ways to use Lynch.

H back. Or T back. T for Trestman.
I don't know, something tells me they would rather eat dirt than start Palmer in any game. I think right away Fales makes the team and either Palmer is cut or will be cut before the year is over. Palmer is nothing. They might even find another veteran walking the streets to back up Cutler.

What could be cool?
Have Lynch take the snap from under center. He'd pitch to Cutler, then head downfield. Cutler then throws him a forward pass (would be kinda cool - after all, there was one instance where Walter Payton threw a TD pass to Jim McMahon - maybe there can be a new wrinkle to this...).
