2015-16 prospects

Post#1 » by patryk7754 » Sun Sep 6, 2015 1:09 am

Unfortunately, I don't think we win too many games this season. After so many years of expecting nothing but SB contention and getting nothing but ass I think we pick in the top five. We have less weapons on offense with Marshall gone and White hurt (although I expect a good season from Royal), and unreliable Cutler, and our talent on defense might actually be worse with our GM basically getting rid of everyone. I understand we have possibly one of the best coaching staffs in the NFL but I've lost all hope.

With all that being said I like these guys

Joey Bosa OLB/DE
He is my favorite player coming out in a while. He's my first round pick. I don't think the QBs are as great as a lot of people and even if they are worth a top 5 pick I still take Bosa. I think he's head and shoulders above anyone else in this draft. For anyone saying that you need a Franchise QB to with a SB I would ask that person "would you rather have Watt or Newton?" (went in the same draft).

If we are not bottom five garbage I like Vernon Hargreaves III (CB). I'm assuming we don't make it out of the top ten.

Idk much about Hargreaves but K. Fuller 2.0 is my favorite cb in the draft.

Round 1: Joey Bosa OLB/DE
He was a force to be reckoned with since day one as a Buckeye. I believe he was a starter as a true freshmen. As a freshmen he had an NFL body. His versatility reminds me of Watt. Fast enough to lineup at LB or DE and strong enough to lineup at DT for a few plays here and there.

Round 2: Scooby Wright III/ILB
It was just announced that he had knee surgery and will be out for about a month. We have a lot of depth in our front 7 except at ILB. As a matter of fact we don't have any talent at ILB. Wright is very good at most things needed from ILB and the things he's not good at he's great at. He'll be a huge steal in the second round.

Round 3: Le'Raven Clark/OT
I think it will be obvious that it is time to replace Bushrod after this season. Clark is a huge man (6'6, 313 lbs). He probably won't play
LT but he can easily replace whoever is move there (Long?)

Round 4: Brian Poole/CB
With us cleaning house in the secondary, we're going to need to get some help for Fuller. Poole isn't the tallest but he has a good amount of weight to him (220). The best part, his size doesn't affect his speed. He can cover well enough and blitz.

Round 5: Kevin Hogan/QB
Unless Cutler has the season we've all be waiting for, its time to find replacements. Hogan didn't have the best season last season and Stanford has already lost with a pathetic offensive showing. I don't believe he has the talent around him nor is he playing in a system that truly showcases his talent. He's clearly one of the smartest QBs in college and he's shown the ability to be a tremendous passer.

Round 6: TE
I think Bennett's mouth has numbered his days in Chicago.

Round 7: Safety
Rolle is our only proven Safety and he's old. We need options

I think Bears will manage to win 6/7 games this year. I don't see them getting the 1st pick.

They won't be as bad or worse than last year. That team was all time dysfunctional.

Idk, we have a pretty tough schedule. Although I don't think it will happen i would be surprised if we got swept in the division. I can see us only winning 3 games next season. I think that argument can easily be made.

Packers: L
Cardinals: L
Seahawks: L
Raiders: W
Chiefs: L
Lions:L
Vikings:L
Chargers:L
Rams:L
Broncos:L
Packers:L
49ers:L
Skins:W
Vikings :L
Bucs: W
Lions:L

At most I see us winning 6 games. Skins, Raiders, Bucs, Vikings once, lions once and the 49ers. That's assuming the offense doesn't improve and the defense isn't at least average (which I don't think is likely).

I think its obvious that we're not in playoff contention so we should be in top pick contention and Bosa isn't necessarily going first. But if we do miss out on him I think it will be a miracle if we are good enough to miss out on Hargreaves, who's a pretty good consolation prize

Watt is once in a lifetime. We need a franchise QB, but the QBs are extremely weak right now. Wherever we fall, just draft the best player at whichever position and we will be fine. Hopefully that pick turns out to be an All Pro.

Cardale jones looks like the real deal so far. If he continues to tear it up he might move up to the top of my board.

Cardale Jones is someone I was talking to my friend about the other day.

I'm sure he's on the Bears radar.

Connor Cooks is a guy that I am excited to get a better look at. Especially after this weekend

Yeah, but the only way the Bears have a shot at either of these QB options is if the give away fort knox to move up for a top 2 pick.

As far as I can tell, the positions that will be the gl biggest concern for us next season will be OLB/pass rusher and cornerback.

I don't see us bringing Allen or Balk back. Unless those groups transform completely as the season goes on, they're definitely our weakest.

After Fuller we've got nothing.

Houston and McPhee need to show they con be relied on. Young needs to show he can play OLB.

A good pass rush and good cover corners are the most important pieces of a defense in today's pass happy NFL.

With the pathetic performance the cornerbacks gave last week I think CB is a top the of our board and I think we'll go with Hargreaves. He might be there for us even if we win 6 or 7 games.

Conor cooks has always been overrated to me. Maybe it something I'm missing because I haven't seen a lot of him but every game I see of him I come out feeling unimpressed. He either has just a flat out bad game or an underwhelming game with 200 yards 1 TD and 1 INT in a 16 to 10 win over an average defense. Overall I don't think any of these QBs have shown anything worthy of them being a 1st rounder.

Connor Cook completed 58% (complete crap) of his passes last year. 24 TDs to 8 INTs is decent.

Hackenberg: 56% (YUCK) 12TDs and 15INTs with only 2677 yards. He's garbage. He's just big.

I haven't seen much of Hackenberg but he never produced anything so I can't imagine there'd be much to glee from tape.

Connor Cook reminds me of Kirk Cousins. I like Hogan. Hogan's problem was consistency and he fixed that last year. He's my guy.

I like Kessler too. Dak Prescott is intriguing but he'd have to learn how to pass out of the pocket. Brisswtt is intriguing. I haven't seen Goff at all but his numbers look good so I'll have to check him out when California plays against a decent defense.

I can't give you a real analysis because I haven't seen him play one game. However, from the highlights I've seen, I can't even begin to comprehend him being a top pick in the draft. And his stats are even more amazing. But to be fair, i can't even name the coach.

Jones and Hogan I think will end up being early first round picks. The other guys would all be good guys to develop.

I've read that Penn state doesn't have much help for him (Hackenberg) including a terrible offensive line.

The positives seem to be size, strong arm and pocket presence.

If I recall correctly, Hackenberg committed, as the top QB, before all the Sandusky stuff happened and decided not to leave Penn St. I would guess that's why he's so highly valued.

I'd take kenny Hill in the second if he came out but i see no reason why he would come out. Outside of that I like Cody Kessler, and Kevin Hogan in the 4th or later and Trevone Boykin in the 6th or later.

Jones is the only guy I see with real 1st round potential but he might not even be the starter for Ohio St. at the end of the season.
