Did something happen? He's been an elite player basically every year of his career including last season

Makes you wonder. He hasn't missed a start since 2011.

Bears should give him a call for sure. For once maybe the Bears can take a packer and benefit.

The bears should also give the Bronco's a call. Talib is reportedly be shopped around. We need a CB and fox is already familiar with him.

A talib and sitton acquisition this late into the process would be amazing

The Packers had a contract issue or something with him.

It would be like getting Slauson back. Maybe Whitehair learns center?

Did he show any improvement from week one? He was horrible his first time. I think Larsen was doing well so I'd guess he gets the start

I thought he made mental mistakes more than anything. I wouldn't think having Cornelius Edison as a backup should preclude any other plans. He can take some time there, or just be a backup LG. I'm still concerned about having Adams as the only backup tackle on the team, which is the current situation I believe, or am I forgetting someone

Please let us get Sitton. It would piss off Packer fans and our oline would really benefit from getting a player of his caliber.

Robbie Gould has been cut. Not that big of a surprise sounds he's been pretty bad the last 2-3 years.

The Bears signed a young center too waivers. Kind of an inexperienced vet

Are you talking about Eric Kush? I liked him on Hard Knocks, but the Rams were the 5th team to waive/release him.

Would it be better if Sitton played center and keep Whitehair at LG?

He's a pro bowl at G...I think we should keep him there. Didn't work the best with Long last year.

Love the signing! It will be interesting to see what they do since they are high on Whitehair, but most likely he winds up as the primary backup at G or they try to move him to C as Larsen is more versatile and could back up the 3 interior OL spots.

Yeah I see that logic. At the same time...Whitehair as the QB of the line, I don't know about that. Though being between Long and Sitton should help. But I have to believe in week 1, Sitton would be better than Whitehair at center, and Whitehair would be better at guard than at center. Week 1 anyway. I think though ultimately, you decide Whitehair's best future position, and get him there ASAP. That said, I don't know where Emma got this:

Chris Emma wrote:Chicago is likely to play Sitton at center, plugging him next to another three-time Pro Bowl player, Kyle Long, along with rookie left guard Cody Whitehair. The Bears have struggled on the offensive line, with the injury to Hroniss Grasu forcing Ted Larsen in at center, a position with which he has struggled.
