Bears fans seem real giddy over Garrapolo. Proceed with extreme caution.

Man this is a crapshoot at the moment. Anything could go brilliantly, or bomb out completely. I'm glad I'm not Pace at the moment. My first thought was to go after a QB in the 1st round, probably Watson. I'd read an analyst saying that passing on Watson in the draft would be like passing on Michael Jordan, and while I thought he was obviously exaggerating, it's still a pretty good recommendation. However, now there's people saying that he's rated as a 2nd or 3rd rounder, which obviously suggests that it would be a mistake to pick him at #3.

As for Garoppolo, he obviously has some talent and potential, but no one knows for certain if that will translate into him being a legit star here. That said, I'm tempted to take a chance on him if Pace, Fox, etc are sure he's the right guy, but I definitely don't want to overpay. For me, there's no way I'd give up pick 3 with the amount of defensive talent available. If we take a guy like Allen with that pick and can land a guy like Eric Berry as a free agent, we could go a long way towards building that ridiculously intimidating defence that we've long been known for.

Looking over all the options, I'm wondering if we could get a guy like Tyrod Taylor in free agency and land a guy like Trubisky in the 2nd round to groom?

It was Watson's head coach Dabo Swiney that said passing on Watson is passing on Micheal Jordan which is just a ridiculous thing to say. Jordan was a top player in his class. I'm not sure if Watson is even the 30th best player in this class. For me to want you at #3 I'm expecting a top tier QB. I see Andy Dalton and Alex Smith kind of QB's this draft. Not sure if I see a Brady, Brees, Rodgers, Newton, Mariota, Carr, Wilson, Luck, Ryan, Rivers kind of QB anywhere in this draft.

If they can package a deal revolving around a 2nd round pick for Garoppolo I'm on board with that. If no Garoppolo get a QB after the first round. There's too many studs at #3 to use on a QB that high. You HAVE to pick the closest guarantee to a stud if you're picking that high. Trust your scouting department and hope you can find a QB that can at least game manage later on.

Reports say Brown's are prepared to use #12+ to get Jimmy. Thank god.

Saw a video from a show on NFL network with one of the people suggesting fuller and 2nd for Jimmy.

I like it. We clear up more space and Fuller has been lackluster since his rookie season. Add a CB or two in free agency (we have enough cap to sign two legit guys) and draft one.

Matt Bowen did a scouting report on Jimmy focusing on 5 areas such as presnap reads ,field vision, anticipation, beating the blitz, and off schedule plays

I completely understand if some teams have hesitation about trading for Garoppolo, given the extremely small sample size. But there are plenty of positives on the tape, and it's not like he has come out of nowhere. (Remember, Garoppolo was a second-round pick out of Eastern Illinois.)

Sure, Garoppolo is still developing. And there will be situations where his lack of reps shows up during games. But given the five key areas we just looked at, Garoppolo should carry high value if the Patriots put him on the trade market.

I'd do it. Whatever Pace has to do, just get somebody we can build around.

According to adam schefter, the Patriots are not expected to trade Jimmy.

They are just Belichecking.... They wont' move him for less than 1st I don't think.

If Brady goes down or declines they have their heir apparent.
