"3 years away from being able to step on the field"

Possibly the dumbest post I've ever read on realgm. There's isn't a single player that has ever been drafted who was three years from playing.

Yeah, a lot of overreaction from Bears fans.

If Glennon starts next season then Trubinsky will not see the field in a live regular season game until September of 2018 thats if hes ready . If he sits a second season thats September 2019 which would be nearly 29 months until his first live regular season game.

The fact is that the guy has played 13 games since he graduated high school and our plan to develop him is to sit him at least another 18 months

I don't think Trubisky is one if the best players in this draft. I expected the Jets to take him at 6 though.

If the Bears had him rated as a top 3 player, and they believed someone was going to trade up to 2 to grab him, then it was the right move.

I completely agree with CJay C. It was the right move for them. We'll see if it was a good move.

Every analyst said Trubisky is easily the best qb of the draft. Teams traded up 17 and 12 spots to get the next two guys. So if you look at the landscape, it wasn't a drastic move, for a player that's ranked better

And last year the two QBs who went 1 and 2 had tons of question marks. Every analyst was saying they don't expect them to go first even in a weak draft. Yet the Rams traded multiple first and second round picks to go up. The eagles traded multiple top picks to go up.

They traded up one spot because other teams supposed wanted to make that trade, to get the too rated QB of the draft. And you're still whining louder than ever

You're not making any sense whatsoever. Pick a lane and stay in it

I definitely would've preferred something different. But they keep doing what you want and you just complain.

Well you are doing a very poor job of it :) considering Carson went z played over 40 college games and so his progress or lack of progress can be charted from Freshman to a senior .

We are grading Trubinsky on the past 12 months of experience he has and the plan to develop him is to sit him for a specified length of time . How is that logical considering the 4 picks we used to get him ?

My argument is that if you spend that amount of assets then you play him or at the very least allow him to compete for his spot because I simply dont see sitting as a viable option for someone who has sat 3 of the last 4 years.

All of Pace's picks have hit and been exceptional except Tayo Faboluje. So despite the fact that I desperately wanted Jonathan Allen at 3, I'll trust the pro since he's been good at drafting.

I didn't do a poor job of anything. You did a poor job if reading. I said Wentz played against no talent.

Who complained about cutting Cutler ? If you check this board I never wanted Cutler i wanted him gone back in 2010 .

My issue is that by trading those assets to get Trubinsky Pace effectively moved up that timetable and Trubsinky went from a one pick developmental project to a 4 pick franchise guy and you dont get 2-3 years before he hits the field .

Did Ryam Pace tell you, "hey bud, we're benching Mitchell until 2018."
Did that happen? Youre pulling some great material out of thin air or out of a butt or something
