Cousins, Fitzgarald, and Johnson would compete with the Steelers trio

You can add Nick Foles as a guy teams that need a QB will go after.

Tremaine Edmunds looks like a STUD. Will need to be coachd up in some areas but his size/athleticism scream Star.

Apparently both Todd Mcshay and Mel Kiper have the Bears taking Calvin Ridley at 8 in their recent mock drafts.

I really hope Pace doesn't take him there. If he wanted to trade down in the late 1st and get more picks and draft Ridley, I'd be okay with that. But there will be so many better prospects available at 8.

he's really good but I pass on him. Not because of talent but because of need. I don't think we will have a chance to draft Bradley Chubb so we can just ignore him.

As of right now, my guy is still Josh Jackson. He's great in coverage, creates turnovers and the most important thing to me, he biggest games came against big time teams like Ohio st, Wisconson and Josh Allen.

Adren Key is very interesting to me. He had a down season statically but his impact was still very real. In the games that I watched, Key was being double teamed constantly and most of the plays were being run opposite of him. Run plays, QB draws, and even quick pass plays were all going away from Key. I think this has led to a misconception about his performance this season. I think his impact was very real, in the way an elite CB only has 2 ints in a season but only because teams refuse to throw in his direction.

Although unlikely, I think this misconception can lead to him dropping to the second. It wouldn't be the first time great talent went outside of the first.

I think one guy that will definitely be there at 8 is Baker Mayfield. I think the mock drafters are putting way to much stock into how badly the Broncos and Jets want a QB. They both clearly need a QB but both have had issues finding a franchise QB. I don't think either of these teams can afford taking a risky Qb and that's what Mayfield is. I think they will both try to trade up with the Giants to take Rosen (assuming Darnold goes 1). Ultimately, I think the Giants go with the Broncos (unless the jets offer something ridiculous) so they can still take Allen ahead of the Jets and then the Jets trade down or take a defensive guy.

With that being the case, teams that can afford a risk may take that chance and trade down with the bears.

Also, look out for Chubb's dline teammates. They were overshadowed by Chubb, but they had really good seasons/careers. They also had great senior bowls. When plays have solid careers and good senior bowls, that usually means they'll have successful NFL careers.

They'll most likely be going in the 3rd and 4th rounds.

I think we're gonna be stuck at 8. There are too many serviceable QBs for a team to give up a bunch of picks to trade up for one. Here's a list of teams that need a QB and what QBs I think they'll end up with:

Browns: Sam Darnold and Ryan Fitzpatrick
Giants: Josh Rosen
Broncos: Kirk Cousins
Jets: Tyrod Taylor and Josh Allen
Bucs: Geno Smith
Bears: Blaine Gabbert
Cardinals: Case Keenum
Chargers: Lamar Jackson
Bills: Bake Mayfield and Sam Bradford
Saints: Drew Brees
Vikings: Teddy Bridgewater
Patriots: AJ McAaron

then you still got guys like Nick Foles who will be available

I think he was looking at teams who would want to trade up to draft a QB.

Mccarron's going to the Browns, write it down. Division familiarity, doesn't have to move his family across state, and Hue actually coached him. He'll get a front loaded deal like Glennon.

Foles played great when it mattered, but according to rumors floating around his playoff play doesn't really push his career needle in the upwards trending direction amongst execs.

Yeah. I don't see Foles being moved. The price will be too high considering how many competent QBs there are.

Derwin James is someone to look out for on draft night. I think he can go anywhere from top 10-15 to early second round. Its very unlikely that he falls into the 2nd but if he's there for us we definitely take him. He'll probably be the best player available and he can play many roles on defense. He can play SS or OLB. Can cover slot receivers and TEs decently, he can rush the QB and plays well in the run games. He even put his hand in the dirt sometimes for Florida St. I expect him to fill the Marc Barron role.

I like Courtland Sutton in the first round.

Lorenzo Carter in the second.

Simmie Cobbs Jr in the thrid.

And Troy Fumagalli in the 4th.

Toliver looks good as well..
James thinks he and Chris Bosh or he and Dwyane Wade would improve any team's fortunes greatly.

"If you put me and Bosh on the same team, if you put me and Wade on the same team, a lot of teams would be much better."

How do the Browns not walk away from the draft with Josh Allen and Barkley?

Josh Allen is trash.

My humble opinion

I'm pretty sure they have a bunch of second and third round picks so I'd take a QB and then trade the 4th and other picks to the Giants and take Barkley

Rumor has it the trade offer is:

Miami 1st rnd pick
Miami 3rd rnd pick
Landry

For

Bears 1st
Jordan Howard

Word at the combine is Bears may feel Howard is not a good fit in Nagy's scheme

All of the Bears brass watched RB workouts at the combine. More personell watching than any other team.
