What do you like about Taven to draft him in round 1?

he physically dominates everyone he plays and he has great play recognition. Reminds me a lot of justin smith of SF

Patriots are reportedly interested in Rosen as well. They have two firsts and two seconds in this draft.

I have a late 2nd-3rd round grade on him. IMO he is a younger Mitch Unrien

Less than one week away. My vacation is approved, calendar is cleared, and the beer fridge is stocked. I'm ready.

What are people's thought on Roquan Smith?

Probably the best linebacker in the draft today, especially in pass coverage. But other guys have a higher ceiling. Edmunds' ceiling is ridiculous.
I would say the linebacker from Boise State is flying under the radar. He's close to Smith in skill and close to Edmunds in potential.

But Smith is the best right now

I dont like the Boise St. LB. He's too soft. NFL O-linemen will eat this boy up for lunch every game.

Yeah, I feel like Smith is a guy that comes in right away and is a great starter for your team.

I'm on the fence at this point on if I want the Bears to take him or go with a guy like Edmunds as far as ceiling is concerned simply because the last 3 first rounds picks have been project picks as oppose to guys that contribute to winning right away.

Best case scenario is Nelson or Chubb. Both fill a need. Both high ceiling. Both high floor. Probably won't have a shot at either one, but it would be nice.

video of Roquan Smith getting swallowed up by 2nd level blockers. Supposedly highlighting his inability to get off blocks. At his size that is worrisome if reality. For me the pick is James, Edmunds, Fitzpatrick or Nelson.

Huge concern of mine with Roquan. When he gets blocked he always goes backwards. I think he's better suited to play the Will LB position so he can kinda get away from those inside blockers

I finally stumbled upon WR Michael Gallup's tape last night. His QB was straight up terrible but Gallup looks pretty damn good. He had some drops but from what I seen it appeared most of the drops came on bad accuracy throws.

I think that's probably right. And given that the Bears need more help at Mike, and also pass rusher, he doesnt seem like the right pick for us given our other needs as well.

Ok we need some first round predictions!

Who will be the first QB? How many will go in the top 7?

Who will the Bears pick?

Who will make a big trade?

-Baker Mayfield goes number 1.

-3 QB's go top 7 (Mayfield, Darnold, Rosen)

-Bears pick S Fitzpatrick

-Bills make a trade to move up for their QB.

BEAR DOWN!!!

Really hope we find an edge rusher sometime this weekend. Doesn't have to be in rd 1 but this is my biggest gripe with our current roster.

My only prediction is an early trade down in round 1, 2, or 3 to get a pick back from Trubisky deal. If Mayfield is #1, the Bears look even better for acquiring Trubisky last year.

Yes, here here and dilly dilly. I'd put Edmunds last on this list though as the draft reports say in bears scheme he fits better on the inside which means he would most like play behind veteran guys we have already. We need some one on the edge or just go DB or OG. That said i vote take the highest rated player available at that spot.

Looks like if Smith is not taken before 8, he is a Bear. They liked him, and Mayock has him to the Bears. And Jahns. Not exited.

The bears are very good at planting false narratives. Any player that has been linked to them publicly is probably not the one they are picking i.e. last year's draft. So who hasnt been linked to them on draft boards? Derwin James, Fitzpatrick, Chubb, Davenport, Vita vea or some other senario like trading out the spot.
