Week 7 v Patriots

Post#1 » by CBS7 » Sun Oct 21, 2018 5:51 pm

Looked bad over that first couple possessions, but a couple forced turnovers are big.

Lets win this.

17-7. Bears get lucky on a cute playcall as the Patriots drop an easy pick.

Defense has A LOT of ups and downs. Mostly bad.

The OL has also been... subpar at best.

Trubisky inaccurate... TOs are keeping us in the game. we are looking to go to 3-3 unless the offense ramps it up

Mitch missing a lot of easy throws. His targets aren't helping though either, 3 drops so far, but a dropped pick too, so it goes both ways.

He hasn't been passing well but the OL is basically giving him 0 protection and the receivers have also dropped a couple. The Pats are blitzing like crazy.

Mitch has made some bad throws, but in his defense, we've had a lot of dropped passes too today. This game has been bad on both sides of the ball. If not for the TO's we would be down by a lot. 2nd half adjustments better be on point or this could get ugly.

That ball went right through Cohen's hands too.

Almost got lucky again. Really needed that TO inside the 5. Now watch Brady march them for a score in this last minute.

MItch is just terrible today. He's not picking the team up. Or himself. Holds the ball all day. This is his ultimate limitation so far

Why not just kick the FG? 50% chance at 3 points or 10% (generous) chance at 7 points?

He definitely holds the ball way too long. A couple of times he's open receivers too. He's just not seeing the field well.

Quite a bit of the blame needs to go on Nagy, some very conservative play calling and then going for it on fourth down which luckily worked. the final play of the quarter also made no sense at all as the announcers said

Well, it would have been a 58 yarder. More like a 10% chance at Parkey making that. But the play call at the end was pointless. At least chuck it into the end zone. That was just a stat padder.
