Clearly the top two issues with this team are Nagy and Trubisky.
Nagy's top issues. Doesn't want to run the ball as much as he should. Second, it seems like he doesn't have much confidence in Trubisky to not mess up. These two things have been leading to a lot of dead drives. This prevents Tru from getting into a rhythm which leads to his issues.
The thing that really disappointed me is that there was no improvement in Tru's skills. The issues he had the past two seasons are still the issues he has now. He puts the ball in bad spots and he makes bad throwing decisions (throwing in traffic). With that being said, just like last year, when he starts getting in a rhythm he slings the ball and will make 5 really good throws in a drive.
I think Nagy needs to say F*** it and let Tru loose as he did in the second half against the Eagles last year and that last drive against the Packers in week one (disregard the INT, that had less to do with talent and more with decision making). He needs a lot of crossing routes and bootlegs because anything down field will be iffy. After he gets into the rhythm that'll will open up the run game and the deep game.
Doing this against the Redskins (and the Raiders in two weeks) is probably the best time to do it because the schedule is about to be crazy and this will be the easiest game in a while but still be a good test. Last year it was ok to slowly get it together on offense because the schedule wasn't that bad but this year is a deferent beast. If we don't get it together we could be fighting for third place in the division with the Vikings.
