Lions @ Bears

Post#1 » by transplant » Fri Nov 8, 2019 8:43 pm

I think I know how Custer felt.

Full disclosure, I declared the season over last week and haven't changed my mind. The Lions are a decent NFL team. Stafford is a very good passer, but has never been a big winner. The Bears have done pretty well against Stafford and Trubisky was great against the Lions last season.

Bottom line: if Trubisky can't get well against the Lions, it ain't happening. It would be very helpful if Burton could be somewhat useful.

Stafford out with fractured bones in his back (hope that sounds worse than it is). Jeff Driskel is Stafford's backup. Driskel started 5 games for the Bengals last season, posting a 82.2 passer rating. He's a competent passer and has the speed to tuck and run when necessary.

OK. It appears that it's just me.

Bears win. This is good. Mitch played very well despite the fact that the offensive line sucked.

Nagy playcalling extremely suspect. He simply has no feel for the ground game.

The defense was bend don't break rather than kickass. That's disappointing.

I couldn't really watch much of the game. Bears won but from what it seemed had Stafford played it would have been a loss.

This game feels like the war in Afghanistan. It’s a victory, but no one is really celebrating or that excited about the future.

Finally a a much needed win . Mitch made 3 great throws but otherwise its the same old same with the bears offense seemingly having 3 good drives per game and sometimes they score tds and sometimes they dont .
