Trade Adewale Ogunleye?

Post#1 » by Bulls Fan 23 » Sun Apr 8, 2007 4:39 pm

I think we should trade Adewale Ogunleye. He underperformed last year and Mark Anderson has really stepped up. AO was one on one a lot last year and just didn't get the pressurs on the QB as he should. WHat do you think, second rounder for him?

I doubt we could get a second rounder for him. And even still, I want to keep him around for depth reasons. Anderson should start this year though

the bears are said to be cheap, and don't redo deals halfway through, and so on, but another thing they usually do is honor the deals they sign. Rarely do you see vets released due to money unless they are totally worthless. Rarely to do you see the bears "reworking" deals for players as well. Even Mike Brown's deal doesn't seem to need adjusting, so why would a healthy DE's? Like all our DE's, he will be better if our tackles remain healthy.

...and get a 3rd round pick? Yippee?!?!

For as bad Ogun is against the run, Anderson is worse.

i don't think either are bad against the run, it was our backup DT"s getting pushed all over the place and our safeties coming up and missing tackles as well. At the start of the year, with safeties and DT's we did just fine against the run.

Since when is Ogunleye bad against the run?

Was moreso saying that for the people who think he's bad against the run. Cliff Levingston doesn't think he's bad at playing the run.

yeah, our backup DT's and backup safeties were bad against the run. DE's and LB's did fine.
