Word has it that Jon Beason - LB is the Bears' guy if he makes it to 31.

WEB SITE CLUES ON PICKS?

Over the past day or so, readers have detected on team web sites a couple of clues regarding potential draft picks.

On Friday, Gregg Rosenthal of Rotoworld.com pointed out to us a blank story on the Bears site with a headline indicating that they have drafted Miami linebacker Jon Beason. The story was promptly yanked.

This morning, we've received an e-mail from a reader with a screen shot of a page on the Jaguars site indicating that the team has picked safety Reggie Nelson of Florida. The page in question -- jaguars.com/draft -- can now be accessed only with a user name and password.

If anyone else finds anything like this on their favorite teams' sites today, let us know.

I'm hearing he won't be around at 31. Interesting.

I thought the same thing, I guess we'll see. I'm not too excited if he is the guy and there is no Briggs news. And from what it sounds, there won't be any. Another all defensive draft again?

He is a good player but he is not a good pick @ 31...I have watched him his entire career @ Miami and there are some OLB's better than him...Quincy Black is a sleeper that the Bears can get in the 3rd or 4th round who is more talented than Beason. I would try to get Merriweather or Grubbs @ 31.

Then I want Olsen assuming he gets passed Carolina.

Well Beason just got drafted. I'm not disappointed. I'm leaning towards Jarrett right now, guy catches touchdowns. And I agree, get Quincy Black in the 3rd.
