Darius Walker Situation

Post#1 » by SportsWorld » Fri May 4, 2007 8:49 pm

I am not sure if we have signed Darius Walker yet. Earlier reports said we signed him but now we are learning we didn't sign him.

Here is the article that said we signed him:
http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football ... 30.article

But this article http://www.southbendtribune.com/apps/pb ... roSports01
says Darius doesn't have a home yet and we just invited him to mini camp.

I am not sure who to believe.

rosenhaus apperantly wanted more money than the bears were willing to offer which is pretty funny! it's not unjustified though, walker is pretty talented and was probably worth an early day two pick. i wouldn't be surprised if he caught on elsewhere (for less than they were asking from the bears even) because he would have a 0% chance of making the roster here.

he has a pretty good shot at being a good 3rd down running back in the future

I am scared about Olsen. His agent is Rosenhaus too and he is going to want big money as well.
Briggs and Walker have given us problems.

I hate Rosenhaus. I wish players would stop hiring him

I would love him as an agent but I hate him as a fan.

Yeah I know but I hope we can sign Olsen fast because I have a feeling he may hold out for a couple of days in the summer.

Olsen says the number 1 thing to him is playing, and money is second, he said he will be camp on time, and I believe him.

Rosenhaus's players almost always sign in time for camp.

Rosenhaus is pretty good I think. He fights hard for his guys and they get in camp. I heard an interview with Angelo wheer he says he really likes Rosenhaus and thinks he's one of the best agents in the business to deal with. Said they go back 20 years or something like that.

Who cares if we sign walker or not, Olsen should be in camp on time because he was such a late pick and we should be able to work something out. As far as Briggs, what are we going to do with him? Most likely he'll play this season then get a huge useless deal from washington.
