If Simon is cut, do we look?

if Corey Simon is released by the colts, and he passes a physical, do we take a look at him?

Nobody really knows what was wrong with him last year, but if it's taken care of, he could be good.

The colts activated him, and might be getting ready to cut or trade him.

One year deal, heavy on incentives? Chance to get back at the colts in next years superbowl?

Cory Simon if healthly is dnam good, and he have a hole at his position, you don't look you grab and run away with him.

I would deffinatly take a look at him. But I would agree with Darth on the contract, a one year deal, incentive loaded.

Has anybody heard anything about Dusty Dvorak. How is he looking? If he can become a solid player, there may not be a need for Simon.

Dusty isn't all that good to begin with imo, and hes a baby. Combine that with a guy coming off a hamstring injury (where it was totally ripped off the bone like a window shade) and you have a huge number of question marks and depth problems at the most important position on the defense.

If they don't adress this problem with something more than waiver pickups, I don't see the Bear defense being elite. We will be very vulnerable to stopping the run. I believe the Bears were already vulnerable pre Tank arrest.

I'm all for Simon. I don't have a lot of confidence in going/depending on this route, but sure it can't hurt. Quite importantly, the Bears have to trade for a starter

he took lots of snaps with first unit.........which is surprising b/c i figured the battle would be b/w garay and adams

we'll see, but ota's are pretty good indication of the depth chart

training camp will give us the real deal........maybe the coaches have seen enough of what adams and garay can do, and want to see dvoracek post-injury or at all after missing all of last year

I'd go hard after Simon... The guy is just full of talent and could really shore up the DT position for us.

As much as you can make the arguement that we already have a lot of depth at the position, adding higher end talent to it, imo, would be good for the team.

looks like we'll find out now
not much of an issue with walker and adams now alongside harris but i guess u can never have to much depth as long as its along the lines of the aforementioned 1 year incentive laden deal

we won't sign him now, we spent our DT money on walker and he knows it.
