Next on the free agent list:
1. WR: B. Berrian
2. QB: R. Grossman (if he earns it this season)
3. K: R. Gould (I think he's a Free Agent after this season ??)
Longshots to be resigned:
1. OG: R. Brown - probably last season because of age
2. FB: O. Ayanbadejo - backup special team player
Anyone else I forgot ????

tillman also extended for another year. so the deal is bigger, but per year average, they are close.
Now, Tommy has 2 years left, but the bears want to use some of this years cap they have left and get tommy done with a heavily front loaded deal. That is why I think briggs is gone next year, tommy's deal will be big this year and next, then be more cap friendly later in the contract.
Redding got like 7m a year. Expect tommy to be in that, 7 year, 65m range with like 28m for sure in gaurenteed money.

6 years 41.5 is a lot bigger than 5 years 28 million no matter how you want to look it it.
It isn't $41.5 for 6 years to begin with.
Its $38.5 for 6 years.
The $3 million is added to this year for incentives met in earlier years and not part of the new contract.
The new contract is $38.5 for 6 years. Pure and simple. $18M guaranteed. That is $6.4 million per year.
Vasher's contract is $28.5 million for 5 years. $14 million guaranteed.
That is $5.6 million per year.
Difference = $800,000 per year.
Chiken feed when you are talking in the $6 million range.
