Next on the free agent list:

1. WR: B. Berrian
2. QB: R. Grossman (if he earns it this season)
3. K: R. Gould (I think he's a Free Agent after this season ??)

Longshots to be resigned:

1. OG: R. Brown - probably last season because of age
2. FB: O. Ayanbadejo - backup special team player

Anyone else I forgot ????

Great signing! A lot of "experts" were saying how we couldn't keep both Vasher and Tillman but I'm glad they're wrong.

Briggs must be upset, seeing his teammates get extended around him.

But great job by Angelo. Cliff Levingston just hopes this doesn't eat up too much cap space in trying to re-sign Tommie in a couple years.

tillman also extended for another year. so the deal is bigger, but per year average, they are close.

Now, Tommy has 2 years left, but the bears want to use some of this years cap they have left and get tommy done with a heavily front loaded deal. That is why I think briggs is gone next year, tommy's deal will be big this year and next, then be more cap friendly later in the contract.

Redding got like 7m a year. Expect tommy to be in that, 7 year, 65m range with like 28m for sure in gaurenteed money.

6 years 41.5 is a lot bigger than 5 years 28 million no matter how you want to look it it.

We definitely have to get Berrian and Gould re-upped. We'll see about Rex depending on how he does this year.

6.9m a yeay, to 5.6m a year. Sure, it's more, but nothing to flip out about.

It would be to you if you were younger and better than the player who got more.....Although I certainly think that the 2nd part isn't true.

Tillman was a higher pick, and is a better player.

It isn't $41.5 for 6 years to begin with.
Its $38.5 for 6 years.
The $3 million is added to this year for incentives met in earlier years and not part of the new contract.

The new contract is $38.5 for 6 years. Pure and simple. $18M guaranteed. That is $6.4 million per year.

Vasher's contract is $28.5 million for 5 years. $14 million guaranteed.
That is $5.6 million per year.

Difference = $800,000 per year.
Chiken feed when you are talking in the $6 million range.
