Someone on the Bulls board just posted this. Doesn't sound good.
He said he heard it on The Score.

On the SCORE they said it was a "lower leg injury" whatever that means.

I know Hillenmeyer isn't a very sexy member of the defense, but he knows his job and does it very well...and we don't have anyone who is quite ready to step in.

Get well soon, Hunter.

Looks like our young LB will be getting an early test.

He seems like the only natural Sam we have. Ikwo, and Williams are more Wills or middles.
I wonder if Urlacher would move around more

Hillenmeyer leaves Wednesday's practice

BOURBONNAIS -- Bears starting linebacker Hunter Hillenmeyer left the field midway through the afternnoon practice Wednesday with his right ankle heavily taped.

Coach Lovie Smith said Hillenmeyer's injury was a minor sprain.

''Hopefully, he'll be fine,'' Smith said. "We'll evaluate it a little bit later.''

Hillenmeyer wasn't the only linebacker sidelined. Brian Urlacher was out for the second straight day with ``general soreness'' while rookie linebacker Michael Okwo sat out with the same. Jamar Williams lined up at middle linebacker for the first team in Urlacher's absence. Brendon Ayanbadejo slid into the No. 1 spot at strong-side linebacker with Hillenmeyer and Okwo shelved.

Also at camp, running back Adrian Peterson missed practice again for personal reasons, but Smith said Peterson definitely would be back Thursday. Cornerback Nathan Vasher was held out of practice, too.

I guess it's good that we're getting these injuries out of the way early, so hopefully they wont come back again during the season.

Are you kidding? Injuries have tendency to linger. The last thing you want is an early injury that could hamper you for the whole season.

In Hunter's case, if it is actually a sprained ankle... that'll make him more prone to spraining it again. Cliff Levingston has been there and done that.
