Shotgun?
I always wondered last season why the Bears never ran any plays from the shotgun. I think I recall maybe 2 from the end of the season, total. I honestly believe this could help Rex out considerably, give him more time in the pocket, more protection for a longer period of time, and not worry about fumbling those pesky snaps (argh). This could also help him more in getting the ball to his tight ends, something that was lacking as well last season, short gains over the middle. Just my thought.

I remember an article in the Sun Times about this last season.

"The only thing about it is, if you hand the ball to the quarterback and there's a fumble, he'll likely be able to recover the ball and lose only a couple of yards," Brandt said. "But if there's a bad snap in the shotgun, you can lose eight or nine yards."

The problem I have with this is that Olin Kreutz is Pro Bowl center, I'm sure he can manage snapping the ball and throwing it back a few yards.

Shotgun! Are you kidding me? Grossman can't handle the ball when it's handed to him, how do you expect him to catch it?
You got that right. I expect him to catch it! Doesn't matter how.
Otherwise, he needs to be "Tanked."
