Dusty looks legit

Post#1 » by fleet » Tue Aug 28, 2007 8:43 pm

At first, I was wondering if he was that good.

Hes getting me pumped. The first time I saw him in preseason I noticed he was controlling his area and making things happen around him. If he didn't force the action directly, he sucked up blockers. He was a brick wall.
And he was going bananas on the line of scrimmage like Lyle Alzado or something. The guy looks crazy
Then I read a quote from Urlacher that said he loves how hyper Dusty gets. Yep, he does.

Last game has me hooked on watching him play. He wasn't getting blocked. He missed a couple tackles, or he'd be playing at an all pro level (preseason at least). And He was really hyper.

Dare we hope for his upside..... McMichael?

I hope he's smarter than Mongo or Hampton for his sake. I agree that his play has been a positive. Looks like he'll start next to Harris since Walker is playing the 3 technique. Guess we'll see. At any rate, I hope he will be an upgrade in run support over Ian Scott, and, what's that other guys name? Not Alfonso Boone...

I remember him owning the running back on one play, just the kind of "oh no, I'm being blocke...JUST KIDDING *tackles*" play. Then again, I also remember him going offsides.

I like Dusty though and I think it's good to have depth at DT(which we do.)

Mango was an idiot, but I always thought Hampton was pretty sharp.

This kid Dusty is going to be a star IMO especially when Harris gets back in the linup. I was disappointed last year when he had to sit, but he used the time wisely. He is MUCH bigger than last year. I read that he focused on his physical development. He is also a super hyper maniac. Did anyone catch the interview where he was saying he felt like football was the only time you could go out and be insane - thats where he's learned to channel all his crazyness? Wouldn't want to be on the O-line against him for 60 plays.

Cliff Levingston hasn't payed much attention to him when he's out there. He'll make sure to watch for him tomorrow night.

It's good to see any time one of the young players steps up. I'll be keeping an eye on Dusty if I ever actually get to see a game.
