Chicago waived the following players: Running back Josh Allen, wide receivers David Ball and Drisan James, defensive ends Copeland Bryan and Chris Frome, defensive tackles Tory Collins and Antonio Garay, safety Tyler Everett, cornerbacks Greg Fassitt and Tim Mixon, quarterback Chris Leak, tackle Mark LeVoir, tight ends Fontel Mines and Brett Pierce, guard Anthony Oakley, guard Tyler Reed, safety Andrew Shanle and linebacker Danny Verdun Wheeler.

Awww Chris Leak had some potential :nonono:

I would have dropped Orton or Griese (1 of those 2) to keep Leak.

We're very committed to Grossman as the starter, but the way I think of it is if he does terrible this entire season and stays "bad-rex", then we already have the choice to turn to a young guy with potential (I was impressed with Leak's pre-season, and not to mention he won the National Championship as the team's QB) then again the Bears organization never really never cared about quarterbacks, and that's why they wanted to keep 3 QB's with experience they could turn to if things went bad.

You would have cut two NFL quality QBs to keep a QB who isn't NFL quality? Interesting approach.

Wow David Ball was a good WR, but we were too deep at that Position, hopefully they add him to the Practice Roster, he and Leak.

Also, Dante Weasley was cut by the Patriots. We don't get their 7th round pick.

Edit: Also, Bazuin put on IR. We should just make this the Bears roster move thread :D
