10th? What a joke

After Dallas, Phili, and New Orleans, again.

Its funny, yes. The "superbowl losers don't do well in the following season" is just an excuse some people use, too. I'm fine with the ESPN rankings but 10th on CBS's? I don't think so.

Seriously, the SI guy is a joke. Cowboys the top NFC team yet it all depends on Tony Romo? Bears have a Better team, and are in the same situation, it all depends on Rex. Rex did incredible in his first set of games, same as Romo. Give me a break.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the Bears basically keep the team intact, and added some nice rookies, while moving highly succesful 2nd year man Devin Hester to a more permanent offensive role?

I think it's safe to say Bears are #5 or better.

some sports writers are mentally ill... the bears have gotten significantly better than last year and the Cowboys get ranked ahead of them? and the Saints? the EAGLES!?!?!? The nfc east is not that great of a division... eli and romo are not great qb's as some make them out to be, and the eagles had a better record w/ garcia in the lineup than mcnabb......

Honestly, that puzzled me quite a bit. McNabb is one hell of a player, and I was really hoping those McNabb to Chicago rumors were true.

Has a defending conference champion ever gotten as much national disrespect as we have so far this offseason and preseason?

Let's hope the Bears use this to their advantage.

I say who cares...power rankings are worthless. We will see how good the Bears are or are not when they take the field Sunday.

For some reason the general media seems to be overlooking Chicago. Last season, the NFL was on Danish TV and the announcers were really gunning for their opponents every single time. I even send them an E-Mail where I said "See you in the Superbowl" midway through the season. They read it live on the air and laughed. Strangely enough, my E-Mail wasn't re-visited when they were doing the Superbowl special.
