Lets look towards the future a little bit, where are we set?

I think we'll be fine at RB. I have confidence in Benson becoming a step below the elite guys, someone on the level of Willie Parker is now. Wolfe is also a wildcard.

We've got an underrated WR corps, underrated because the QB can't get the ball to them enough plus the OLine isn't very good. Berrian and Bradley are a couple of good young guys (BTW, has Bradley caught a pass this season? Has he even played?), we'll need another WR later on to take the place of Muhammad, though.

At TE, Olsen is a ? because he hasn't played so far, but I got high expectations for him, I think we'll be fine with him at TE.

We've got Harris and Anderson who should anchor our defensive line for years to come, and if Dvoracek can come back healthy they'd be a good group to build around.

At cornerback we have a couple of underrated young guys in Vasher and Tillman, we're set there.

Now, our OL needs to be rebuilt as soon as next season, our QB situation sucks (I wonder how we'd be doing if we picked up Schaub, Green, or Garcia?), Urlacher isn't getting any younger and Briggs most likely not going to be with us next year...

Thoughts?

I agree pretty much with everything you said. Our main weak points are the offensive line and at quarterback. Rex can only get better, and we can improve our line by a couple of additions via draft, free agency, etc.

If I am the Bears I am looking at Matt Ryan out of Boston College. He is putting up a good year so far there and is very underrated. He is getting comparisons to Tom Brady.

Also, this looks like it will be Moose's last year. I think he is going to retire at the end of the year so it would be nice to sign a good WR.

QB/OL should be our priorties. I would love to have someone like Colt Brenan run the show. Maybe even Punter. I REALLY don't want Robbie Gould punting and Brad Maynard is well, old.

The only other position that even comes to mind is linebacker but the way I saw Jamar Williams play on special teams and Michael Okwo should ease my concerns about this position.

I worry about the OL, although I'm hoping Beekman pans out and some money into FA next summer and using a 1st or 2nd round pick can beef that up.

Not worried about anything else on offense.

On defense, I like our line for years to come. Corners too. We could use a 1st or 2nd round pick on a safety or LB.

I'd probably draft a LB in round 1, Safety in 2nd and 2 OLs between 3rd & 5th. Then go out and spend some FA money on an OL and a LB is we can't get a solid one in round 1.

Overall, this team is pretty set by average NFL depth standards.
