We need a win here. I need a win here, to rub it in my friends faces. All the talk is how the Bears are so inferior to the Cowboys over here.

This is an important game for this offense. The matchup everyone will look at will be the Cowboys' offense against the Bears defense, but the Bears offense is what is going to need to come through to win this one.

Key for Grossman to success vs the cowboys is to have alot of check options and not to force the deep ball. keep everything towards the middle of the field.

I say we dare the Cowboys defense to defend the deep ball, just like Grossman wants. If he suceeds, hurray, if he fails, the better reason to bench his ass. He's not benefiting from being babied.

Now....hopefully they'll kick to Devin Hester

As far for Grossman, I disagree with BGeezy on keeping the ball in the middle of the field. The cowpolks LBs are pretty good, not to mention they still have Roy Williams. RW is prone to a deep pass on the edges, not in the middle of the field where slow footed/aging defenders thrive on. Grossy has to put it up and put it out ahead of the safeties & corners, so quick wideouts like Berrian can get it. That'll soften up their up front a bit, to allow Benson & Peterson to gain yards. I don't see CB getting to the century mark, probably 75 yards, with Peterson chipping in a good 35 to 45 yards. Pass protection is perhaps the most crucial part of this game, have to be aware this time (unlike in S.D.) about two (maybe 3) of their key rushers, Demarcus Ware, Chris Canty, & maybe Greg Ellis, have to be held in check. Fred Miller cannot, and I MEAN CANNOT, FART THIS UP, otherwise, we'll see Rex panic and just chuck it up for grabs. Those three dudes are some hefty mfs, and they'll squash Rex. I'm not concerned about the D, except how they'll stop their other core receivers. Urlacher and/or Briggs will have to play really smart now, because outside of T.O., they have Whitten, a TE that can run like a WR and catch the long ball. We need to put a ton of pressure on their O-Line, pressure the hell out of romo, and trust me, he's capable of getting shook. He hasn't played against any really good defenses, except maybe the seahawks & eagles from last year (the Giants are an aged group, as is the 'phins).

I'm not going to prognosticate. I do not see this being a close game. It'll be one sided in my opinion. I'm not going to pick whom, because we have Rex, and thats jinx enough, I'll just pray instead, that we have super great Rex on Sunday night.

2. Huge game. So far, Dallas and Chicago look like the class of the NFC.

It will be really interesting from a lot of viewpoints. So far, Dallas' D and Chicago's O have struggled, but played respectable teams on the other side of the ball.

Dallas' O has been great, but seems to have played poor defensive teams.

Miami is decent defensively but they turned the ball over 5 times offensively.

I think if Rex sits down he will never play for the Bears again unless Griese gets hurt.

I think Griese will do just fine on this team.
He will not make the mistakes Grossman makes and that will keep the Bears offense on the field long enough for both Griese and the Bears to succeed.


*edit: and I hope he does it early enough to get Griese in the game in time for the Bears to still have a chance to win.

I remember the last time we played them, it was on Thanksgiving. It was Julius Jones' first game and he ran for like 150 yards and 2 TDs, and we switched QBs from Krenzel to Hutchinson I think.

Yeah I remember that game. If I remember correctly I think we were wearing the orange jerseys...or maybe the Cowboys were wearing throwbacks.

I think it was both.

I was in Boston at the time.. actually up in the NH mountains at my aunt's hotel. I remember it was a really ugly game, our only score came off a defensive TD.

RW had a pick for 6 in that game.
