Besides Lovie?
Grossman through 3 games:
47-89
500 yards
1 TD
6 INT
52.8 completion %
5.6 yards/attempt
1.12 TD%
6.74 INT%
45.2 QB rating
I'd like to see someone defend those stats.
Okay, you might not think Griese is the answer, but my god, he simply cannot be worse then Grossman.

I couldnt ask for a coach that got us to the Superbowl for only the second time ever to be fired. Gotta put my trust in him. I want to see Rex & the staff against some average to bad teams. Thus far we've played 3 playoff teams from last year.

Why? So we can feel good about beating up on a bad team, but continue to absolutely suck against the teams that.. :gasp: .. we'd be seeing in the playoffs?!
If we can't beat, or at least be competitive with teams like the Cowboys right now, what reason do we have to believe we can should we make the playoffs.
Note: Cliff Levingston doesn't think we'll make the playoffs.

If it results in another loss, it wouldn't be out of the question

@Cliff: Right on. The times where Grossman has looked his best was against terrible teams. That doesn't help us at all. Rex has had NUMEROUS chances in the national spotlight to redeem himself and shut all his critics up. However, in seemingly every case, he's done the exact opposite.
The announcers and writers have it right: under the perfect conditions (i.e. the line holds up, the run game is on, etc.) Rex is a good quarterback. BUT when the slightest thing goes wrong, he's absolutely, positively horrid.
Watching him and Romo last night was just a HUGE contrast. Guys like Romo (the kind of quarterback you need) MAKE plays, they don't just throw the football. They use the pocket, they escape from the pocket, they have peripheral vision to avoid defenders and find open guys. Rex has ZERO improvisational skills. When things break down, he's toast. He' has no ability to save the team and take over a game.

See this is the deal.
Last year Rex was horrible plain and simple. He sprinkled a few good games in between a ton of absolutely dreadful games. We called for Rex's head last year...but no...Lovie backed him 100%. Despite Rex's horrible play, we STILL won. Why? Because the magic of Devin Hester and the defense.
So ok...Lovie is superstitious. If it aint broke, dont fix it. Fine Lovie I get it.
But this year there is nothing good or superstitious about it. Rex has STUNK it up since preseason. He couldnt even make a snap for goodness sakes! Rex so far statwise is by far the worst starting qb in the league. We simply cannot afford to waste this season away 'waiting' to see if the good Rex shows up.
Say what you must about Orton or Griese. They wont be the ones that can carry an offense no...but they wont be the ones to blow a game either.
Id rather have Orton, play safe and give us the short 5-10 yard passes and not turn the ball over. Same for Griese. Its better than worrying if Rex will play gun slinger and lobbing it up for the opposing corners to catch. Or that Rex will mis-snap the ball for a fumble or get sacked and lose the ball. You have to admit, Rex is the one guy in the league that if the worst can happen, it WILL happen to Rex.
I think Lovie has to realize, he will do more damage to Rex and himself if he keeps Rex out there and he continues to stink it up and we lose.

Yep. I want to see the whole picture for the whole season. Make a determination at the end of the year and if need be, go in a different direction with a free agent. Its possible that the offense could right the ship against some lesser teams and get the timing down & lose the mistakes.

Neither do I. I'm the biggest Grossman fan, and it's time to let him go. Orton showed a lot of improvement and his arm looked pretty sick in preseason.

If the defense keeps losing key pieces at an alarming rate then Cliff Levingston would actually be down with this plan. We'd be so bad, we'd guarantee ourselves one of Brohm, Ryan or Brennan.
