Apparently, we'll find out if Grossman will start in Detriot on Wednesday.

 yay for coaching changes that are REALLY REALLY LATE.

That's not hope, that's the sad realization that not only will the Saints be joining us in the fight for a top draft pick and perhaps a QB, the NFC is REALLY. REALLY. bad.

That was a point I was trying to drive home on sunday night. There are a few teams way better than us, and they're in the AFC: Steelers & PATS.
I mean, we can tank the season, get a great pick, maybe more if we want to move Briggs (lord knows we're going to need a great hard hitting Mike Brown-ish Safety, since Adam sux).

However, the season is too long to surrender after only 3 games. Anything can happen. Maybe the Steelers, PATS, and/or Cowpolks suffer key injuries. We'll find out how much pride our BEARS players have this weekend, and how good a coach Lovie & staff really is. A big win, and hope springs eternal, for a week at least.

im sick of hearing people talking about tanking the season. Are you kidding me? It's the end of week 3 and we're 1-2. We played three playoff teams from last year and are now going to start playing the NFC north teams. All we have to do is beat those teams and we're back int eh playoffs. Home field might be out of the question but tanking a season in week 3 is just ridulous to even be discussing, especially when the football draft is nothing like the NBA in that it is easier to get better players later in the draft.

I think the biggest killer won't be the injuries, but the morale of the team. Think about how long this team and these coaches have defended Rex to the death, only for him to flounder again and again. Now they have to finally jettison the guy they have been fighting for all these years. They have to accept that all the hard work they've done and all the public bashing they've endured and bounced back has been for nothing.

THAT is what is going to hurt the most. So now is the time for Lovie to really earn his paycheck - to rally the troops. We'll see how they respond. It's definitely not over. We're in the NFC guys. :)
