IT'S THE LIONS. Griese has been given amazing field position all game. He's thrown two terrible throws in the red zone. He's thrown a int returned for a TD. He's thrown two balls down field all day. We're talking about a team who just gave up 42 points in a half. The media killed Rex for throwing 2 picks after the game was over while Griese has thrown 3 ints in a close game.

Again sort of my point, every positive is followed by two or three negatives. It has more to with the entire offense but the result is the same. Griese is making the same mistakes as Rex is and everyone, including me, put the blame squarely on Rex when it should be on Turner, benson, OL and wide receivers dropping passes.

They do have the highest passing offence in the NFL. And they are playing a depleted secondary.

Ok, and Rex had the Cowboys the game before. A defense that gave up a TON of points as well.

Really? I don't understand this devotion to Rex.

Hey, Rex has won a game already. I wonder how long it'll take Griese.

If you want to be a winning team you cant allow 20 points on the 4th quarter.

Youre kidding me right ? Rex played bad for almost 8 straight games heading back to last year and Griese has made mistakes but hes also hasnt played in 2 years hes gonna have to shake off some rust all this while not even not having the benefit of the bears defense at full strength.

and for those who think benching rex was the solution for the offense....wow u were wrong.

Recievers don't run good routes, don't catch, line doesn't block, rb's fumble, and ron turner couldn't coach peewee ball.

QB is not the issue. Rex isn't the solution, but QB isn't the whole problem.

griese reminds me a lot of shane matthews, constantly dink and dunk mixed in with turnovers.

Exactly but you cant evaluate them until you addressed Rex as so many of them were hiding behind him.

The Bears just do not have a very efficient offense. They can't sustain a decent running game and the WR's are having mental lapses. You can't win when half your defense is gone and your that bad offensively.

overreacting? i don't think so. Injuries every week, and getting worse not better, worst offense in football, an ocoordinator who is worst in football, and we can't beat the lowely lions.

It's safe to say the season is over, now we just figure if we go 9-7 and fight for a playoff spot and early exit, or if we go 7-9 and a 12-16 pick in the draft.
