Angry Lovie.

In the pregame, Madden had a moment. meant to say, "Lovie Smith and the Bears," but instead said "Lovie Bear and the Bears." Which of course, is more of a pimp name than a head coach name.

kind of like Brian Baldinger's "Lovie Jones" mistake last yr.

They have looked terrible except for the Lions game. They can't do anything on offense but have a decent defense. McNabb got sacked 12 times last week, too.

Never mind, we're playing the Vikings at home next week.

Should be a win.

Then the Eagles on the road, then Detroit at home, then Oakland on the road. Maybe a 5 game win streak?

A big win, can't underestimate how big this win is. It wasn't pretty really, but the Bears beat one of the hotter teams in the league, on the road, and just happens to be their biggest rival. A 2-3 season is still salvagable, but 1-4 and 4 games behind the division leader would pretty much end it. The first real must win game of the season and they came from behind, on the road, to do it.

Now...keep this thing going, please.

Question, was anyone wondering A. why the Packers weren't throwing to the sidelines in their final drive, or B. why the Packers didn't call their timeout sooner?

some posters would rather be talking about next year's draft.

Difference between this and both week 1 and 3 is that the RBs didn't fumble the ball away in the second half.

Lovie's a perfect 4-0 in Lambeau.

I would just simply say we established a commitment to the run, but didn't establish the running game.

Exactly. The running game was really bad, but they kept going to it and kept it in the back of the mind of the Packers D.

It loosened up the coverage so we were able to make plays to Olsen and Clark.

We need our running game to get up to at least 100-110 yards a game with our passing offense to stay around 200-220 yards a game. 300-330 consistent yards of offense is enough for this team. That would have us ranked 17th-24th, better then our current 30th.

Last year we were at 120 rushing yards a game and in 2005 we were at 130 rushing yards a game.

2005 was Jones best year, and Benson and Peterson filled in nicely when he was down with an injury.
Benson needs to step it up for the rest of the year now.

I just wanted to add this photo to cap off this thread.

Yes, thats Desmond Clark getting into the end zone, with Nick Collins trying to pull a Tillman, but failing badly. Hehehehehe!

Lets bring on the Vikes. Who's in charge of that thread?
