We couldn't get a big hit. We had the bases loaded twice, a couple times we had guys in scoring position with 1 or no outs and we just couldn't get the guy in. -Jitpal

Getting sick and freaking tired of these crappy ass hitters bunting on us and getting damn lucky. It accounts for like 4 of Roger's 7 hits.

We've hit the ball hard off of Perez, what can you do? It's just one of those days.

Good job Posada, getting that crappy hitter off the basepaths. If it wasn't for his legs, that kid wouldn't be in the major leagues.

Man, the Mets are really aggresive with their prospects.

That being said, I think his performance will warrant him staying with the Mets, provided there is enough space on the Mets 25 man roster for him. You look at his minor league career and you see that every level he has been at, he's conquered it. He hasn't repeated any levels either, and he's only 21.

Even though I am a Yankee fan, I just love seeing new prospects come up... especially high ceiling prospects like Gomez.

He's freaking 21 years old and playing way above where he should be at.

The guy can't buy a hit, he got lucky on two bunt singles.

I hate Josh Phelps. This guy tires to hit it out of the ballpark(literally) everytime he goes to bat.

I wish we got to face John Maine instead of Oliver Perez. Perez is nasty and Peterson has been doing a great job with him... he's legit.

A rookie that should not even be in the majors facing one of the best pitchers ever, I would take whatever he could give us. Gomez is a slow starter and if it wasn't for Alou being hurt, he would be in AAA instead of having to grow up quick in the majors.

We won one last year against Wagner. Let's go Yankees. Damon better be ready to pinch hit, I don't want to see Phelps, Cairo and Melky all go up there in a row. We need Damon to pinch hit for Phelps. -Jitpal

your gimmick is sickening, seriously.

bno just owned you.

i see all the yankees fans saying they cant hit and score runs before this winning streak, but you bash a player that bunts to get onto base- probably because he knows he might be overmatched if he swung the bat?

honestly, you're a troll.

edit: put it in the books.
