Is this the point of the season where we go on a 5 or 6 game winning streak or is it just a fluke win?

If our defense can keep this up, sure.
Finish the 2nd quarter 4 and 0.

I think we have to wait until the next 2 or 3 games have completed to crown (pun!) this game as a turning point or not.

Well we at least beat a good team on the road which is very encouraging. However, we got pretty lucky by winning the turnover battle 5 to 1. Even with that we only won by 1 score. It's not like we outplayed the packers. We hung in there and survived and made enough big plays to win. However, they were dominating us in the first half on offense and if it weren't for those fumbles we'd have gotten smeared.

On the other hand, the defense really stepped up in the second half which was great to see especially given that the Bears have typically faded in the second half.

As to whether it's a turning point, who knows. Minnesota at home is a game we should win, but Oakland has been playing people tough, and Philly still has a lot of talent. Those aren't going to be easy road games by any stretch. Detroit already beat us once, so I don't see how you can pencil them in as a win either. I could see us going 3-1, but I could see 2-2 just as easily. At this point in the season we really need to get a 3-1 to bring us back into contention for at least the wild card.

We held them to what, 100 yards in the 2nd half? And around 50-60 came on that very last drive as well.

Since a lot of us agree that the Packer game could be our turning point I think more specifically it could be Lovie's halftime speach.

So much has been said about it, and the players have admitted its what got their motors going in the second half.


For Bears fans who are also Cub fans, it would be ironic that aa uncontrolled temper-induced blowup is what got the team jumpstarted.

I hadn't heard about the half time speech before, but if so, that could be the marker. The Bears were crap in the first half and lucky to keep it close. They came out much better in the second half to win that game.

I think this can be a turning point for us. Had we come out flat again in the second half it would have been a huge hole to climb out of. Were still in the hole but at least we can see day light. We just need to follow this up with another victory and another to make this a ture turning point. The early three and outs on offense is still a concern for me - but Griese did look a lot better in the second half. I'm not on the band wagon but I won't groan when he cones out on the field (so it could be a turning point for me to).
