Defense needs to step up, big time.

Now yeah, the D has been banged up, with the entire secondary missing time, Briggs missing time, and our interior line has been depleted with Harris banged up, Walker missing time, and Dvoracek already out for the season.

But man, Harris and Walker need to get healthy, big time. Harris did play but not nearly as good and not nearly as much as he should be playing. Adams is a decent backup at best and Garay shouldn

CBS7, that has be one of my fav posts today. Stating the season ain't over hit it on the head. This is the NFC (Normally F-ed up Conference). We can make the playoffs at 8-8! But to do some damage in the playoffs, on offense, we have to run the ball, pass the ball (particularly on some short passes, like slants & crossing routes), control the clock (win the T.O.P.) and just not turn it over. This is where I disagree with you a bit. The offense has to win the T.O.P. and spare this Defense which is banged up, and it honestly begins with a combo of Ground & Air attack. I know the defense played like hot garbage yesterday, but part of it has to be the offense (enter Ron Turner & his horrid play calling). They didn't play particularly well, until we got behind big time, aired it out, got some lucky breaks by bad defending for 2 TDs. Benson is no Iron Head, but the team has to stand behind him to have any kind of chance to win ball games. I think you put it in of the other posts, Benson gets 20 or more carries we've won this season. We need to run him into the ground, and if he breaks, well, he's going to replaced anyhow because he sucks.

But my prediction: Wild Card, 8-8 (#5 seed) & eliminated on the road.
