296 yards 3 TDs vs the Chargers D that gave up under 90 rushing yards a game. Sets the record of most rushing yards in a game.

So whoever laughed at me before the season started and said they would take Reggie Bush over Adrian Peterson... can that guy please stand up?

Whats more jaw-dropping is that Peterson plays for the vikings who have a rookie QB. They really don't have anybody at the WR position, so when you think about what their next offensive move is going to be its easy to key in on Peterson.

Shawn Alexander's favorite side to run to is the left side, which is the same side AP prefers to run to. Why I bring this up? Two words...

Steve Hutchinson

Ever since Minny got the LG out of Seattle, Alexander hasn't looked the same. Meanwhile Minnesota's running game has flourished ever since.

It just goes to show our BEARS defense wasn't the only one susceptible to getting ran on! At least we didn't give up the NFL record!

Additionally to make this weekend even more suckier, the BEARS and BULLS are in last place in their respective divisions. Obviously Hell is freezing over or we've leaped into the Twilight Zone!

Did you watch that Yahoo fantasy show? They pointed out the same thing. It also shows how important a good offensive line is.

The way he runs, its not just their great offensive line. He's unbelievably fast, he breaks so many tackles, he makes so many tacklers miss, he runs over defenders, he just has the complete package and awesome combination of strength, speed, agility, and he's got the moves.

He's on pace for more then 2000 yards and is averaging 6.6 yards per carry.

ha. no I didn't. Its a pretty obvious thing. When Hutchinson left Seattle it was BIG BIG news.

I wasn't trying to take any credit away from AP, but the line has been a huge plus. His 250+ yard games would've been 180ish and overall he'd have a few hundred yards short of what he has now, without the advantage of the O-line.

I'm ready to dub Adrian Peterson as the new "future" of the NFL.

...taking the crown away from Reggie Bush AND Vince Young.

And the king of my fantasy team. People thought I was taking a risk when drafting him. Take that that!

I got him in a trade for Maurice Jones Drew and Darrell Jackson around week 3. What an effin trade.

Knowing we could have traded Briggs and our first for the #6 pick (rumored) and gotten Peterson gives you that huge "what if" feeling. I wasn't in favor of such a deal because I wanted to hold onto our pick, but man, AP would be awesome right now.

Except he's injured and I don't know how well he would do behind our crappy line.
