Actually, I'm pretty sure it's perfect as is.... I mean what's more perfect than the return of T-Rex, Sexy Rexy, etc...?

A winning streak? Which I don't think we have had all year.

We have not.
We have alternated wins and losses all season except for once, which put us at 1-3 after losses to Dallas and Detroit.

Mike Holmgren implied that he wasn't going to kick to Hester. If I remember correctly, he said "We'd like it if he didn't touch the ball, but we'll have a couple things to try."
Hopefully Alexander will play. He hasn't run against anyone since week 3, no matter how poor the run defense he's playing against, as opposed to Morris who showed some signs of life last Monday.

Thank goodness they moved us out of primetime.

Some of you people are actually glad Rex is returning?
Am I missing something here? One good pass and he's back in the good graces of some of you?

Has anyone in this thread really looked like they are happy?

I won't be happy until either Kyle Orton or Devin Hester is starting at QB. And that's only because it means highhh draft pick.

Not in this thread, but certainly in the other thread about who should start on Sunday, people seem to be choosing Rex.

If Berrian doesn't drop that pass against Dallas Grossman never loses his job and we might have a winning record.
Griese was terrible in his own right and our offense was inept the first 4 games....Not Rex was inept, the entire offense was. He was just the unfortunate soul who had to quarterback it.

Griese was terrible in two games, decent in one game, and very good in two games.
That dropped TD catch by Berrian was huge, but you can't blame the next few picks on that. Crayton dropped a wide open TD catch right before that, anyways.

We haven't had a run longer then 16 yards all season... we're the only team in the NFL that doesn't have a run of 20 or more yards.

Benson and AP both lost fumbles against SD in important drives and Cedric had another terrible fumble when the Bears had just drove 86 yards in the previous drive and scored a TD. The Bears were 10-10 in the third and then Dallas drove for a TD and Benson fumbled the next drive.
And the MO on Griese was that he'd be consistent. You remember this? The whole "no stupid INTs and smart riskless play" spiel that everybody was believing has shown to be false. This team can't get by with just "solid" QB play because the defense is worse and the running game is terrible.

This is why people are happy Rex is coming back. With Rex at the QB position our cieling for success is much higher than having Griese at the QB position.
Rex might make a lot of mistakes, but if the small chance of success comes to fruition, than we might have a playoff team. With Brian at QB we are just short of the wild card.
Since our running game never came alive in the time Griese was at QB I don't have a problem going to Grossman.

in the end i don't think it matters that much. neither qb is going to lead the team to a long winning streak for them to march into the postseason.

Your probably right. The percentage of you being correct, I would say is 95%.
Now having said that, there is a small, small chance Rex has few good games, and if thats the case, then all we need is a game or two won by our defense and that could mean the playoffs.
I repeat, that chance is slim, very slim.

Rex led the team in the first half of the season last year and played reasonably well in the playoffs to boot. So don't let what happened a year ago get in your way.
