SOLDIER FIELD
Radio: WBBM 780AM (Tom Thayer + Jeff Joniak)
TV: FOX (aka Faux) w./ the announcers (probably Dick Stockton)
4:15PM ET/ 3:15PM CST
New *Yawn* Giants (7-4 overall, 4-1 Road):
@
CHICAGO BEARS (5-6 overall, 2-3 Home):
Going down here:
THE STARS:
BEARS!
Urlacher
Peanut Tillman
Lance
The OTHER Adrian Peterson w./ REX GROSSMAN
DEZ Clark
Berrian (hey Jerry, where's my new Contract?)
MOOSE
The new guy making things happen.
Good as GOLD, GOULD!
A possible return of NATHAN VASHER??
From the 2005 season, where Vashy takes it in for the TD on a Favre INT!
and our Mr. Clutch, aka Mr. Everything, aka Soulja Boy, aka our SAVIOR!
LAST MEETING:
BEARS win a wild one at the Meadowlands (NJ)!

Grossman Overcomes an early INT, throws 3 TDs. And the Offense showed some muscle by having guys like Moose, Rashied Davis, Mark Bradley, & Thomas JONES bringing it to the Giant Defense and succeeding.
But the highlights, imo, was the Hester return of the FG that came short by Jay Feely, for a TD! Then INTs by Charles "Peanut" Tillman and then by (now former Bear) Chris Harris.

We are at home. That should be the major advantage there. Hopefully the Bears can pull together a win streak.

This would be a huge win, would put us at 6-6 and the Giants at 7-5, with us having the tiebreaker.

Hester could be the difference for us in this one.

So uh, do the giants kick to Devin Hester? xD

How, exactly? The Giants were burned last season by underestimating Hester, and just saw the Broncos get burned by testing him, I don't see how he once gets the ball on a return unless a squib kick bounces to him or someone laterals it to him. On offense is where he needs to be instituted more, from this game on out.

Vasher has been running without pain for the first time since the injury, so we should see him back out there this weekend.

Who to root for this week:
San Francisco over 4-7 Carolina
Buffalo over 5-6 Washington (RIP, Sean Taylor...)
Minnesota over 6-5 Detroit. We can take the tiebreaker from Minnesota, but Detroit already owns it between us.
Cleveland over 5-6 Arizona
Tampa Bay over 5-6 New Orleans

Oh yeah, Seattle over 5-6 Phili.

The Giants got burned on a 108 yard TD the last time we played them(missed field goal, guess who). There's no way in hell they're kicking to Devin Hester. So, subtract two TDS for that game.
20-6 FINAL. Grossman blows it, we start looking for a new QB Monday Morning.

As of right now, it looks like the temperature for this game will be in the mid 30's and there could be some snow. Defiantly an advantage to us.

I understand where you're coming from regarding that thought. Somehow, I figure that be an advantage to a team with a running game, which we don't have. You're saying that we can stop Brandon Jacobs (a guy I'm not sold on being this savior for the Giants as a RB, but still better than Ceddy), Derrick Ward (a guy who I think is an up and comer), and maybe Reuben Droughns. They have guys who can rush. Who do we have? Adrian Peterson (version 1) and Garrett Wolfe. Maybe snow could play to our advantage if it causes Eli and their backs some fumbles!

Our Defense will really need to step up and get some really good pash rush, and just flat out scare Eli. Without it, he's going to just hand it off and toss his passes to Amani Toomer, Jeremy Shockey, and Sinorice Moss.
However, I'm not too high on the BEARS after hearing Jeff Dickerson's report from the Bears practice facility (Bourbonnais). Guys horsing around, emulating WWE style moves, Tommie Harris, I believe was put in a choker hold(or maybe he was the holder instead of the holdee). I mean it was funny to hear this on the radio, but I dunno, this worries me in that our guys aren't taking this game, which can put them at 6-6, but more importantly, give them their first 2-game winning streak this year. I'm kinda with JD on the speculation that they have to prove me wrong. He's predicting the Bears to lose 35-21 on the Lake Front.
Edit: Oh, JD also said mentioned that Nathan Vasher's groin injury is still iffy, and no word is known if he's definitely playing or not (probably game time decision) and that Plaxico Burress is nursing an ankle injury and is possibly not playing. So who knows, maybe we win a close one, ala Robbie "I'm better than ya Grandmomma's Gold" Gould.

Unless I'm mistaken, both Jacobs and Ward are questionable.

Jacobs is doubtful, and dind't practice at all this week. He probably wont' play. On the other hand, Ward practice all week and figures to start.

Sorry guys, I wasn't aware Jacobs was questionable. My bad. One less runner on that team puts in a better position of course! However, Hester had some lingering foot issue this week, and well, (we know coughlin isn't kicking to him) need him on offense somehow. We need to attack that secondary of the giants somehow, they're vulnerable. I'm more concerned about that pass rush by the giants. I'm hoping St. Clair can hold his own vs. Strahan. Otherwise, we could see a tentative Rex. We need to really capitalize on these short fields, esp. today if the field is going to be muddy (perfect for a mudder!).
