Watching the playoffs is embarrassing

Having basically just watch the Bears this year, it was embarrassing to see just how ell the playoff teams executed on both sides of the ball (especially in the AFC). O lines, D-lines, key positions - and coaches. We're further away than I thought.

It just makes me miss last year even more.

Further off? I don't know there was so games that just showed me like we're not incredibly "far off". I think a lot of the teams just turn it on when the playoffs come around, I have no reason to believe we cannot beat any team on the NFC side for example the two in the NFC Championship, one we beat twice and the other we had a really close chance to beat.
Now, pick a team and I gurantee you they will suck as much as us if you injury their starting FS, a CB, a DT, and hinder the other DT, give back problems to their MLB and make as well have Ron Turner be calling plays for them and none of the teams will be that good.

I feel the opposite. I think if we made the playoffs we could have taken on any of these teams.

The NFC sucked. Dallas looked crappy, we almost beat the Giants and Seahawks, and we beat the Packers twice...

At least we can claim we actually made the Super Bowl. And we were quote unquote "underdogs" to the New Orleans Saints. ESPN wanted that story to succeed so bad.

we almost beat the giants this year, we beat the packers 2 times, and almost beat the chargers. And with more injuries that ever, don't think we are as far off as u think.

I would love SOOOOO badly to talk with my friends at the Packers board and just rip them to shreds, much like they did to me last season when the Bears lost the Super Bowl. But I won't do that, and will exhibit some class. Losing in the playoffs, especially this late, sucks. It happened to me last season and they thought it was a riot. Boy, that feeling sure blows.

I agree. I have yet to talk a single piece of trash. I am chomping at the bits but have exhibited a surprising amount of restraint. Living in Milwaukee doesn't make it any easier. Packers fans are a very strange breed. I could go on but there really is no reason to.
It was a good night.

Ruben - Talk your trashy ass off man. Do it not just for yourself. Do it for all of us....or for god sake. Just do it for me. I'll sleep well until training camp if I know you're sticking it to them up there in Milwaukee.

I'm guaranteeing you a rebirth of the BEARS and their run back to the playoffs next year!
