UPDATED: WR Davis to sign 1-year contract this afternoon

Rashied Davis will sign the one-year tender offer the Bears made him this afternoon.

Agent Wynn Silberman confirmed the wide receiver will return to the team this season. Davis had been shopping himself as a restricted free agent. The deadline for RFA

I like Davis as well. He's not exactly a polished product, but with his speed I think he can be a handy addition at WR, where we need all the help we can get. I hope we extend his contract for a few more years though.

With Davis returning, the Bears will be down to roughly $15 million in available cap room.



Any one have an idea how much the draft should eat up cap wise?

I have no idea but I've always wondered how do the Redskins afford all these guys whereas we never pay our players and always seem to be cheap. Is there some luxury tax or anything?
